The food at GYG across the board is great and no matter what location I attend it’s always great. Kennington is no exception. This is where the positives stop. This GYG is notorious for extremely lengthy delays both in drive through and dine in. I visit on a regular basis as the food is great but am constantly disappointed with the service no matter the time of day. Most of the time, there is a plethora of staff in the kitchen but it just seems unnecessarily slow. This has lead me to wait up to 20 mins on occasions when there’s been no other customers. Not sure whether this is due to training but it truely is a constant let down. Whether it’s new management or alternatives for faster food, something needs to change please.

Not so great food, spend 50 aud close for 2 nachos and 2 drinks, doesn't feel that good. Had similar nachos from a food truck in our company which was really good and had lot of avacado paste and sauce on top of it. A bit disappointing.

Absolutely disappointed with the service. The young girls working need to be respectful of their customers and get people's orders CORRECT. When I ask for a slow cooked beef enchilada I expected to given a slow cooked beef enchilada and NOT a grounded beef enchilada which made me very sick. Seeing as though the past 2 times my order has been WRONG , I will not be back! ( when ordering through the app allow at least 20 minutes to half an hour as nothing is ever ready on time )

Great mexican food, atmosphere is great, just begging for a work party or Friday catch up with friends. Or if you're getting takeaway, quick and efficient service. Well worth a munch, esp the mushroom burrito!

The quality of service and serving sizes gets poorer each time I visit. Today was no different… not a well-made order (despite of mentioning).Food quality is good but the preparation sucks. Need to train the employees on consistency of portion and decent customer service.- A GYG Regular Customer (looks like won’t remain for long)

Ordered a bowl with no rice or corn chips. What arrived was a tiny amount of toppings that barely filled 1/3 of the container and that's being generous. I also added a couple of extras and the portions were utterly pathetic.The other local Mexican place always fills the bowl even without rice.

The food is tasty pretty decent value. But the amount of times the orders are incorrect is ridiculous. Staff consistently manage to miss something in almost every one of my orders. Recent orders include a missing ice cream. Missing bacon in a breakfast bowl. Missing Nacho chips in the breakfast order. Missing hash brown. No fork to eat my bowl? Some staff are forgetting to simply repeat the order back to customers and making unnecessary mistakes.So the food is good, but some staff have room to improve.

We went for the new mushroom filling at gyg and ordered one of everything with it. It was unbelievably amazing. Hands down the best Mexican food in Australia. I'm originally from Texas, a chef that started out in Mexican restaurants and to this day I still cook all my own Mexican food which is the #1 favourite of my very very picky family. So when I say it's the best Mexican food here, I don't say that lightly. I often see a Mexican food place in Australia and get excited only to be depressed when I get the food. That's definitely not the case at gyg, they are always exemplary of fast and fresh and with the familiar tastes of great Mexican food.If I could give more stars I would

GYG is my favorite food for takeaway. the ordering experience is so streamlined and chill, whether you do it online, in the app, or in-store. the produce is fresh and tastes amazing, and the staff are so friendly.
