After seeing 4 star reviews I thought this place would be a safe bet; sadly I was disappointed. I ordered a couple of pizzas, polenta fritas and calamari for take-away. The first pizza (Agliata) was about half the size it should have been (see photo) and carelessly cut. The second pizza (Acciughe) didn't have proper anchovies; I still can't believe they put vinegar marinated anchovies on an Italian pizza. The polenta fritas was really greasy. The calamari serve was pretty small for $24, had little flavour and an overly floury batter. To top it off, the aoili sauce was just normal mayonnaise; it had no garlic in it! I've given 2 stars because apart from the issues described, the pizzas were reasonable.

The best pizza I've had in a long time. The flavour was amazing. Nice and spicy and to shelf ingredients. The base was exceptional.

Very disappointing pizza. Burnt, soggy base, ordered on site, yet cold when handed over. It was a prawn pizza and there were a total of 6 over-cooked prawns on the whole pizza. That’s not even 1 prawn per slice. Nothing else on the pizza except cheese. Don’t bother!

While the pizza isn't quite as good as is close by competitor on the other side of the Rd it's still very good and with a wood fire oven it's hard to go wrong. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the overall atmosphere is very nice and casual. The Nutella pizza is .... Well it's very very good! we look forward to going back :)

Amazing dining experience!! Great food and service but must say the band on a Wednesday night is an absolute winner! They are fantastic and are worth the visit on their own. That being said, this cozy little restaurant has plenty of appeal on any night thanks to their tasty food and prompt and friendly service. If you’re strolling down the Hampton strip I’d recommend dropping in and checking La Svolta out. Special’s board won’t disappoint but if you can make it on a Wednesday, the band is worth catching a plane for!!

Great pizza here in Hampton. Classic menu with Neapolitan style pizzas revisited but not Americanized. Italian approved! The change of interior spaces is very nice. Better to book a table a little in advance during the WE

The food here was great and I would def return for the food. The steak was enjoyable and the fish. The caprese salad was also nice. Our service was terrible. The food took ages to be served at lunch time and the restaurant was completely empty. Whilst we were in there a guy came in with his resume and they were basically conducting an interview at lunchtime in the middle of the restaurant. We waited for 15 mins after we got our long awaited meals to get tomato sauce for the chips. By the time we got the sauce the chips were cold.
