We've been coming here for years and have family who have been camping here their whole life. Management has changed and the rules are more firm now. We brought our dog on this trip for the first time, after seeing how well behaved and happy the dogs we have encountered have made the guests feel. My small 14 year old cavoodle, came along for the trip, he shadows me everywhere leash or no leash, he doesn't bother anyone or bark. We were asked to leave a day before school holidays end, due to dogs not being allowed in the park during peak periods. I understand we didn't see the very clear rules from the email they sent but we have never had an issue before and thought we knew the rules. We left our very responsible boys to light a fire at our camp, they had done the same the night before and many times in the past. We received a call to say they were out of control with the fire. We genuinely thought somehow the blaze had got out of control but it was so far from trees and contained with big rocks. We raced back to our camp from the cafe, to find a stressed staff member yelling at our boys over a very contained fire because we weren't aware of the new fire pit rule. My 15 year old son then told me he thought it was weird that the staff member watched as he spent 15mins building and then lighting the fire, before she came running over to tell them to extinguish it, anyone with fire skills knows it is far more dangerous to extinguish a contained fire than lighting one. I was upset they had expected my boys to extinguish the fire, we don't allow them to do this for safety. This could have easily been resolved without the children being yelled at by a stranger. Instead, our two nights away, for the first time in 2 years after severe burnout from work, ended in everyone feeling too scared to enjoy the trip, in case we got in trouble again. We are friendly, we clean up after ourselves, we do have a big family but we aren't too noisy. This has always been our place to go for peace. Unfortunately it wasn't the case during this trip.

We really enjoyed our stay with our dog. Decent amenities but they weren't overly clean while we stayed due to groups of school kids. Picturesque views over the lake, especially at sunrise. Asked for a spot with a bit of space from other campers due to the dog and they were happy to put us in a back corner. They have fire pits to rent for $15-20 and firewood. Check out the historical pub up the road while you're there.

Very nice place, its quiet and great amenities. The ground are keep tidy and everything is clean. Price was good and our dog was welcome with a permit, which was easy to get.

Stayed here for a weekend in mid-May of 2023: my partner and I loved the place. We would recommend this for any of our friends and will definitely return. The lake was beautiful, the camp amenities were clean, the staff were polite and hospitable, and the location was generally good for a long weekend stay on the SC. Some patrons were a bit noisy — playing music and having intoxicated conversations on Friday and Saturday nights — but everybody was quiet by 10:00-10:30pm. We plan to come back for a longer stay in the future.

Can't fault Boreen Point. Extremely relaxing and a great spot for a weekend camping trip. Good facilities, amazing location and friendly staff. They're dog friendly outside of peak times (i.e. school holidays).

Serene and beautiful camping ground, good facilities. It's situated next to Cootharaba lake and Everglades, 20mins drive from upmarket Noosa.
