Love this store and the staff are always so kind and helpful

During my recent visit to Universal Store, I had an incredibly positive experience. I was on the lookout for a comfortable everyday backpack, and I was fortunate enough to find almost perfect one at this store. The staff, especially a young guy, went above and beyond to assist me. He took the time to showcase various backpack options and patiently put down the ones I liked within reach for closer inspection. I'm happy with my purchase and thankful for the service provided by the staff at Universal Store in Wollongong. I'll definitely be returning for future purchases.

My go to store for clothing. Staff are fantastic, friendly and super helpful. Fantastic selection of clothes.

10.4.2310:30AMHonestly appalled with the customer service at this store location. The staff on today were all young self centred men who were very unprofessional and Arrogant. They were hanging around the store all together chatting and laughing at people. I went into the fitting rooms to try on a pair of shorts, I wasn’t happy with the size and they were the last pair I could see. When I asked a staff member he acted like I was stupid for even asking him. He asked what size I wanted and I said the next size up. he went up to the group of Male staff members laughing and pointing at me and the pants sarcastically asking them if they’ve seen a bigger size. they were rude and very unhelpful when I asked if any near by stores stocked them in different sizes. Me and my friend felt very unwelcome in this store and will not be returning. I’m I frequent shopper at this store location and EVERY TIME they are like this. And to top it all off he left the ink tag beep thing on my clothes and Did not give me a Paper receipt or a digital receipt. I called the Shellharbour store and asked if they could take the tags off with only a bank proof of purchase and they were extremely helpful and understanding and took the beeping ink thing off for me.The Shellharbour square store I have no issues with and always are treated with kindness and respect.The guy who “helped” me was dirty blonde and slim with longish hair in a bun. not to exclude the rest of them that were on shift today. they are all arrogant and do not belong in customer service.I’m not the type of person to ever write a bad review. But this felt necessary as I’m sure many other women or even men have felt uncomfortable in this store with all the toxic men working here. things need to change.

I purchased a dress in December for an event in April. I fell pregnant and the dress became too small. I thought I’d need to repurchase but the team in Wollongong were happy to exchange for a bigger size. It was such a relief. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Does not even deserve one star. The customer service here is appalling. The staff harass customers, do not let you look around, always in your face, cannot change in privacy; like moths to a lamp, very very very uncomfortable and quite embarrassing for both the company and the staff. This is not a one off instance, this is EVERY single time. If this is part of company policy, this should be changed, both for the customers and the poor staff.
