Great fresh fish, chips, fast food , beef burgers. Chicken burgers….over cooked…I prefer the crumbs not so dark. Phone orders. Great place lovely people

I never understood what people said when they describe fish as flakey. I now know!! HOOKED have nailed it!! Every single bite of the fish cooked perfectly and the batter was just as good. There was a clear separation between the two which was a bit messy to eat but that made it even better!! That’s when you know you won’t get any uncooked batter to just fries pure goodness. Tartare was good. I think it has garlic too which made it even better!!Very generous serving, could probably feed two people. If you’re out of town or haven’t tried this place give it a crack.

They don't even have battered savs. Waaaayy too salty, even when asked for just a very small amount of salt. No-one could eat them as it was like the lid must of come off the salt shaker. Portion size of chips is a third of what you get in Victorian fish and chip shops. Though the hamburgers were good.

I normally have a rule. I don't buy fish from shops as I prefer my own. Well that's all changed now. I'm more than happy to go and order some red emepor and chips from Hooked fish and chips. It tastes as good as your own.

Over priced for what you get and I don't know if just mine or not but burger patty just fell apart and not in good way as in half of it crumbled apart like they hadn't used enough binder to bring mince together. I literally brought exact same order in Gladstone a week later paid 10 bucks less ( burger chips potato cake and drink)
