Gables on Finch

We chose Gables on Finch as the venue for our wedding and we are extremely happy that we did so. We were first drawn to the grand old house, which suited our style and felt like us, but we soon found that Gables had everything else we wanted too. The garden was a lovely spot for the ceremony, inside there was plenty of room for our 115 guests. We chose a high tea instead of a formal meal, and everyone loved the food. The house and gardens made for a great backdrop for the photographer, too. The staff on the day were terrific, and the manager Simon, was very helpful in helping us plan the event the way we wanted, while offering useful ideas we hadn't considered. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Gables on Finch.

Today Greg and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We were married on the 12th June 1982 and celebrated our marriage with a lunchtime reception at The Gables" my former family home from 1966 - 1977 when my parents ran the reception rooms. Today my family went back for a high tea at lunchtime to the renamed Gables on Finch. Much has changed in 40 years but we are still here. Sadly our son-in-law and 2 grandsons were not able to join us due to last minute illness. Thank you to all the family for a lovely memory. It was wonderful to see Gables on Finch still going strong. Thank you to Simon and staff for a truly delicious high tea that they tailored to family allergies. Many thanks"

What a beautiful old home set amongst very mature trees and gardens. Wonderful food and service. Friendly helpful staff an awesome place for a wedding or photos.

The venue was beautiful and the high tea was a lovely experience. However, the menu was quite misleading. We ordered 2 teas each and did not find out until paying, that the second tea was charged additionally. This was bizarre as most high teas include unlimited tea and the menu did not state that additional teas would be charged.

We held our wedding ceremony here and had a great experience. It was a lovely intimate garden ceremony. They were able to cordone off the carpark for the limo so we could take photos in front of the tea room.Staff were really accomodating on the day and Simon was lovely to deal with. Had great suggestions for where we could take photos. We never knew there was a beautiful stairwell. Perfect for a cosy garden ceremony! :)Thank you for having us!!

I flew down from Queensland to attend my best friends 80th birthday celebrations and was so happy I came. Wonderful to be with my friend and others and was so impressed with the friendly and helpful service.It was the most delicious High Tea I have ever had.Many

This had to be on of the best High Tea packages I have ever had! The Price was so reasonable and the amount/quality of food we got was amazing (our favorite were the scones)! High Tea at home during COVID is a fantastic way to keep busy whilst staying home. I would highly recommend the Gables...I know i will be back again. Thanks for a delicious experience.

Had a wonderful day here attending a close friend's wedding. As part of the bridal party I was at the venue early with some final items for set-up. The place looked amazing when we arrived, and the staff were attentive and helpful in accommodating the finishing touches.The ceremony was a fun and relaxed celebration. The venue's professionalism and support were a big part of how smoothly it all ran, and how beautiful it looked.

Amazing venue, and worth the visit.The high tea price was high considering what we get, and was disappointed there was no transparency around what was included vs pay extra. Paid $5 for a burnt latte, didn't ask to replace as I assumed it was included and didnt want to make a fuss. Was only told when I questioned why price was so high that coffee" on the menu meant filtered and not a latte (if id known at the time i 100% would have asled for my burnt latte to be replaced). The $10 extra for vegetarian was ok in theory (once again we werent told and no itemised receipt

We’ve just had our wedding ceremony here recently, the garden was beautiful and the staff were amazing. They went above and beyond with helping us decorate the garden and providing extra chairs. There ended up being a few extra guests than anticipated but Simon and his team did an impeccable job.They helped us block off the car park so that we were able to take photos in front of the house. Overall they were able to provide us with an amazing ceremony experience.Definitely recommend this place for garden ceremonies. ♥️♥️♥️
