One of the best service we have received from any business in any industry. You guys have set such a high standard for any business,yet alone for a car rental.Easy to work with. Easy to rent off. So accommodating in ways bigger mainstream companies can not compete with.The cars are exactly what you need for sand driving etc. More than capable to get you anywhere and in the sweet spot of age and model where you can confidently drive them.We liked it so much we want to book again for September and again in Jan 2024!Thanks to the team at Wongai

Updated: we have received an email against us due the review we have done about the bad service of this company, with the excuse that we have scratched the car outside, and inside, damaged in panel of the car, damaged in a chair of the camping, damage for salt and sand in the car (in a 2005 old car) almost 20 years old and the company says it’s everything done in 2 days trip, anyway fortunately we have taken pictures of every single detail of the car before taken to the trip, even the car didn’t have the mechanic sticker updated(wipers not working)(key always got stuck in the car) , looks like didn’t have service for a while.. we have all the evidences of the car… we will go the QCAT and see how everything goes.. we will keep you updated guys, this situation can’t happen to anyone..When you hire a car make sure the car is 100% working, we have hired the car to go to Moreton and the wipers of the front window wasn’t working, as soon as we saw that we called the company to report that, and the answer was we can’t help you with that, so the solution was pray for a good weather in Moreton, also the offer seat for the camping and one of those totally broken, looks like they don’t check the stuff before renting the car, that’s a really bad service, also we had rent the car to Moreton before on Easter but we didn’t know we have to book the ferry before separate because the company didn’t tell us anything about it, and we end up paying 400 dollars extra fee for the peak season that we didn’t use it on a peak season. Hope it doesn’t happen to anyone again.

Had one of the best experiences renting a 4x4 from Wongai! Dan and the guys were brilliant with us. For someone who hasn’t had much experience with off road driving in the past, they walked us through absolutely everything about the car and all the equipment before you set off. They are also on hand at all times should you have any trouble, but thankfully we didn’t need it. They were also brilliant for us with moving dates. We had to change our dates a couple of times due to bad weather and the guys were very understanding and accommodating!For a one in a lifetime experience for a very reasonable price I couldn’t recommend them more! Most definitely the highlight of our Australia trip.

Highly recommend Wongai 4WD Hire. We travelled from Brisbane to Birdsville via Cordillo Downs. Everything went seamlessly from booking to drop-off. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always answered the phone and all our questions. The 4WD and rooftop tent were in excellent condition, and we had no issues. It was awesome that we were allowed to take the vehicle off-road, which made our trip even more exciting. Thank you, Chris and Daniel, for helping us have an amazing trip.

Recently hired a 4WD from the team at Wongai for our trip to K'gari Fraser Island. First time going four wheel driving. From the start Chris was super helpful in taking the booking for us. The information provided was clear and easy to follow. On pick up, they take the time to explain all the equipments with you and answer all your questions.The vehicle we had was super capable for K'gari. The equipment that matters is high quality from the lifted suspension to the all terrain tyres. Recover gear is also included but apart from the deflator for airing down to 16psi for the sand of K'gari, we didn't have to touch any of it. The car handled the inland tracks and 75 mile beach with ease. Taking us to some beautiful places on the island. We had such a great adventure together it was almost sad to return the car.Would highly recommend Wongai and we would go for another adventure with one of their 4WD in a heartbeat. It's addictive.

Excellent experience and the real way to explore Australia! Having your own vehicle and roof tent means you can travel much more freely and to lesser known places, we visited and stayed on Moreton island in Their Land Cruiser Prado - We did some pretty moderate / advanced sand driving on the island and stayed right at the north of the island away from the usual tourist / day trip spots. Without the 4wd & recovery gear provided by Wongai this wouldn't have been possible! I think the price is very reasonable considering it includes most of the camp gear required too,Definitely worth it for us!

Chris and the team were very pleasant to deal with and we had a 4x4 to use for our trip over to Stradbroke Island. Highly recommend their service and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys - Michael

We had an unbelievable trip to K'gari thanks to Wongai! They were so helpful from start to finish and the cars were great - really can't recommend any higher

Our experience with Wongay 4WD HIRE was highly disappointing. The car's wipers didn’t work, hindering visibility and making driving uncomfortable. Additionally, one of the camping chairs provided was broken, impacting our seating arrangements. The tent was dirty, lacking proper cleaning. We were not informed about the need to book the ferry for our Easter trip, causing us to miss out. When we rescheduled, they charged us the same rate as peak season. Overall, a frustrating experience with no compensation offered.
