Nirvana By The Sea

This was my third stay at Nirvana.The last time was over 10 years ago.The apartment we had was comfortable, however not as luxurious as l remember the others being.You can't go wrong with this place.Nice staff too.

We stayed for one week, the apartment was very clean, spacious and well catered providing everything we needed. The staff on the front desk were always helpful, professional and gave great food recommendations, directions and places to go. Will definitely stay there again, the location was perfect.

The team at Nirvana were incredibly accomodating and lovely! It was my first time visit to Gold Coast and the apartment made the stay truly memorable - the location was the best, the heated spa and sauna was great for relaxing, the sunset views was amazing. I was also gifted a bottle of bubbly and chocolates to help me celebrate my birthday on arrival which was very special. thank you Pete, Kim and team! Xx

stayed here recently. skyroom , a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. amazing room , so spacious , clean , view to die for, great location . staff very helpful and pleasant. cannot recommend enough. treat yourself. you won’t regret it

Great location! Very friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful, spacious and clean rooms. Lovely spa to relax in. Awesome theatre. Only drawback was the sun rising very early (0430!!), which is obviously beyond the hotel's control. We stayed mid November and were waking up early each day. Maybe some blockout blinds would be suited for bedrooms. No other complaints, we would absolutely return for another stay!

First let me say that we had a great time at Nirvana. The staff were friendly and helpful and the view and outdoor furniture were great. There are plenty of choices for dining out or take away within walking distance and Coolangatta shops are a 17 minute walk.Unfortunately there was a few negatives which I advised the staff about when we left.The shower in the ensuite leaked badly. So much so that it was a slip hazard.The leather lounge needed a good clean and the kitchen stools were way past their used by date.The seal around the oven was broken and hanging down.The apartment was fairly clean but I know I'm fussy so probably shouldn't complain.We stayed in 902 which is a two bedroom ocean view apartment.We did have a good time though and the problems were minor annoyances.We would stay there again.

I recently stayed at Nirvana by the Sea in the 'Sky High' room for my wedding, and was blown away. The room was absolutely beautiful. It had the most amazing view, so much space and the perfect vibe to get ready the morning of my wedding and relax the next day. Everyone who came to the room spoke so highly of it. The reception staff were so friendly, and kindly even let me check in a little earlier. The management team also left a bottle of sparkling and some chocolates to congratulate me on my special day. It added such a nice personal touch. I will definitely be recommending Nirvana by the Sea and cannot wait for our next stay!

3.5 overall would be a fairer result.We hired the “sub-penthouse” and it was amazing, but then everything in life is relative to expectations.Rightly or wrongly we felt that the website indicated that the suite had a private pool alfresco type area, which it did, but this was separate and required elevator use to access. It wasn't part of the apartment itself which we felt was ‘suggested’ on the website so upon checkin we were disappointed.We had room 1503, which was on the right side for views of the beach, however the morning sun was agonising and made the room very light and hot by 6am. As we were there to chill and enjoy late nights and sleep ins this was not ideal. Further, we were to mates sharing, not a family, and there was a significant difference between the main bedroom and the ‘spare’ room.The room itself had some limited amenities based on its price point. The TV was 10-15 years old and small, there was limited cutlery and crockery and the fridge was a poor model with no shelf capable of taking stubbies. It did however have a dishwasher, dryer, washer, etc which was helpful.Nothing against this property individually but we also found the location relative to Gold Coast and Cavill Ave was a limitation. Traffic was unfortunate and it took us 45-60 minutes most days we wanted to access the GC for activities.Having said all of that, reception were professional and helpful, the location to the beach and cafes etc in Coolangatta was unbeatable and the broader feel of having our own private pool and bbq area was cool as! The sauna was great, as was the theatre room, though the gym was simple and underdone. Parking was ample and included and the ability to hire e-bikes using Lime made the location less of a concern.Overall, it was good value for money and a great memory for us, with great service, accessibility and privacy, and for most people would be a 5 star experience relative to what they’re used to, but for me, who is admittedly a more experienced traveller than most, I probably wouldn’t be back, mostly due to proximity to Gold Coast and the morning sun from 6am making sleep for a night owl impossible.So unless you’re a night owl or wish to frequent the Gold Coast itself, don’t be put off, it’s worth a try and if we were going as a family instead of mates, it would have ranked slightly higher.3.5 starts from an experienced high end traveller, probably 4 for most, but needs to iron out some creases to get up to a 5 for anyone other than a novice traveller.Ps. Heaps of access to pathways to ride and run and enjoy directly over from the beach.

This place is AMAZING! It is so well located opossite Kirra Beach, a short walk to Coolangatta and close to all shops, cafes and restaurants. The rooms were decorated well and were very nice. Can't wait to come back and stay here again

Felt closer to 5-stars than 4. Had the best time and loved the facilities. The staff were also very friendly and helpful at all times.
