Great drop-in lunch spot in beautiful Montville. Had the chicken Katsu with miso and was a good size meal and good quality for price of $22. Was not busy and service friendly and quick. Recommended ;)

I absolutely loved it there! The food was delicious, it was just as authentic as the food from Japan. The green tea was not too bitter, the miso soup was tasty, and the food was so flavoursome. I loved the Bento, the okonomiyaki and the Calamari dish.The waitress was polite and friendly. It's the perfect spot to have lunch while having a lovely, sunny view. The next time we visit Montville, we'll definitely be coming back to Edamame.

Charming place and service was okay. The chicken katsu was however very bland, basically no flavour. I didn't like the curry either. I have recently been spoiled with amazing food in Japan, but unfortunately this meal didn't come close to that.My partner was quite happy though with her salmon teriyaki Bento Box. I had her tempura veggies and they were good.

Adorable little restaurant with great food. We had the bento boxes for lunch and it's not often that each individual component taste great and is fresh. Staff were lovely, we will definitely be back!

One of the very best meals I have had! So flavourful!! Words do not do this place justice, you need to give it a go. Not alot of seating, recommend a booking.

I highly recommend the calamari for entree. My boyfriend couldn’t stop raving about it. We had it two days ago and he is still talking about it so I am writing this review. Tender and tasty and so delicious. The staff were also super friendly as well and the food came out pretty quickly.

Wonderful way to end an evening jaunt at Montville's amazing main street, the Edamame has a lovely secluded ambience that offers a twilight view as it opens. Fare is from a simple menu, but every component is well thought out and well executed. Friendly staff, intimate settings, and great chef.
