I am astounded after reading the last review because it's so absolutely different to anything I've experienced at John Watts Sewing. I've been a customer there ever since I moved to Ipswich around 14 years ago. I have always received excellent professional and friendly service from both Vanessa and Doug. They are both well respected in the industry for their honesty, knowledge and skills. Together they are a great team and provide exceptional friendly service in machine sales and repairs with fantastic classes (sewing, knitting, crocheting and other crafts). In addition to sewing machines, lights and furniture they have a beautiful range of yarns, threads, various sewing supplies and even Vigorella clothing. They are always willing to help.I recommend John Watts Sewing 100%.

Walked in to buy a sewing machine, the lady I spoke with was very helpful, she took the time to listen to what I needed in a sewing machine before recommending a product. Will definitely be back!

These people are going to go the hole yard to help you with your sewing, be it a sewing machine problem or want to improve your sewing, they are polite and and extremely helpful.

Told me my 5 year old Pfaff was not worth servicing! Very wrong. Took it elsewhere and they did a brilliant job. I think this guy just wanted to sell me a new machine from his overpriced stock.

I was keen to purchase a Juki 2010 sewing machine and was also very keen to try it out. I knew that Watts had these machines so dropped in with my friend to check it out. The woman behind the counter was not at all helpful, in fact my friend and I considered her manner to be quite rude. She was more interested in working at her computer than customer service or pointing out the features of the machine. When I asked her if they offered additional incentives if I purchased the machine from them I was surprised at her reaction. She made it quite clear they were one of the only dealers of Juki in Brisbane. She asked in an abrupt manner 'like what? what are other people throwing in? perhaps I will throw in some extra bobbins.'I had just spent several hours at another sewing shop in Ipswich where the lady was absolutely fabulous. She unpacked a new Janome embroidery machine so that my friend and I could try it out and went out of her way to show us the features of the machine. She was also including several hundred dollars of accessories.Consequently, the embroidery machine I am buying from the other shop and the Juki I will purchase on line.

Very helpful.I know nothing about sewing machines so it was nice to be treated with much patience.Highly recommend.

Was very impressed with the service and speed of repair to my poor neglected machine. Had a lovely chat and was given advice rather than being lectured on my failings as a terrible sewer.
