Not to see much here, just an ugly concrete pillar. It would be nice to see it be replaced with something the public can use and enjoy.

A little bit of history on the Great Northern Walk. Work a peek if you're happening by, I wouldn't go too far out of my way. Nice view from the top.The site of Newcastle's first windmill, the site now has medley of plaques about infrastructure. The water board has taken a keen interest, with a map pointing to various water landmarks.Nice little hike up a hill, probably a 5-10 minute visit for most people.

The place is ok! Just like any other Australian uphill area where you can see the bird's eye view of the city and coastline. The place is picturesque so you can get some good shots!Attached to the place is the memorial walk which is beautiful as well (of course not on a too hot day)!!!

A very unassuming place, not too much to see here apart from the plaques of what the obelisk represents which is a former windmill which provided water to the area. However, the 360 degree views of the water and Newcastle is amazing! There are tables around on the grassed area for a casual picnic. One can walk to the beach as well.

The Obelisk offers good views & is a beautiful spot to take in the wonderful panoramas. The parkland on which it stands, is also lovely. It's a nice quiet, scenic spot.
