Alterations Plus Dressmaking

Sara is a lovely person and her work really is exceptionally well done, so well done in fact that when I got the dress back I was questioning whether there had been any work done at all!However, I will say that while our initial appointment in mid-June was very friendly and she assured me that the dress would be done well before my event in mid-August, I didn’t get notified of the completion of the dress. Instead, I dropped past her store 2 weeks prior to the event to see when I would be able to pick it up only to find a sign saying she was going to be away until 3 days before my event, you can imagine my stress as this had not been communicated to me. In any case I contacted Sara and she responded very promptly (which I appreciated) that the dress was indeed complete and we figured out a time that I’d be able to pick it up between work hours as I was flat out for those three days. However, I showed up on our agreed day and though there was a sign on her shop front stating she’d be open that day, she was still closed and I couldn’t get into contact with her. I ended up having to leave after waiting for over an hour to see if she’d show up and it wasn’t till later that night that she got back to me. It was lucky that I was able to get my dad to drop by in the limited hours she said she’d be in the store the following day otherwise I may not have been able to get my dress in time.TDLR: Sara is really lovely and her work is fantastic, however I feel the the communication with me during this Instance was quite unprofessional. I wish I had prior knowledge of my gown being ready as I would have picked it up before she went away and this whole situation could have been avoided. In saying this I would still definitely use her service again.

Sarah altered our wedding outfits - my wedding dress, my daughter's bridesmaids dress and my son's suit. She made us all feel very comfortable and was incredibly patient with me! I highly recommend Sarah not only for her workmanship, but for her professionalism and her expert advice.

Over priced for quality of work. $260 to take up a dress and skirt. Both garments had to take longer as they were not even. The dress was long at the back and looked like only the front of the dress was hemmed up. The skirt I was told was cut around so this has made is uneven. The skirt is shorter now after fixing than I would have liked. Will not go back or recommend.

I would 100% recommend alterations plus for any of your tailoring.The team did a brilliant job with the usual sorts of jobs, hemming, narrowing a pair of jeans, fixing a broken belt loop. What was really impressive was that they also managed to repair cycling gear that the manufacturer had said was beyond repair. The material couldn’t have been easy to work with but they’re better than new now.

I came to Sara with an idea and she made it into my dream dress! Exactly what I wanted! We started from scratch, from sourcing the fabric to the finish product, I couldn't have done it without Sara and am absolutely in love with my the piece! If you need a dressmaker, Sara is the one to go to and she would make your dream come true! Trust me, a very very happy and satisfied customer I am here. Sarah is amazing! Lucky I stumbled upon her nicely tucked shop in Eastland. Very professional, really knows her stuff,honest advise and her work is flawless. My suit was nice, but after Sarah gave it her magic touch,the suit looked so much better and made me more confident and comfortable wearing it! Don’t go anywhere else,go straight to her and you won’t regret it!
