We passed this lake last 2 year on our way to Clare from Port Wakefield. Due to our tight schedule, however we can't stop. Today we stopped by and were happy with the pink lake and the statue of loch eel monster. There is a toilet behind the town hall which was helpfull. HOWEVER, the coffee shop was closed. In addition, the local government should ban pets since we found a lot of dog poo on our way to the statue.

Amazing hidden place. It’s only 1.5hrs drive from Adelaide. You can walk on the salt if they have settled.

Amazing pink lake. Nice hidden spot with very few people. We got here in mid Dec after a big rain. Weather is the key for colors.

The pictures were taken in mid August. My friends said the lake looks much more beautiful and pinker now than the summer when it’s too dry with a much smaller lake.

this large pink salt water lake is amazing, but in Summer on a sunny day, it was not that pink. we stepped on the lake, jumping for some pictures, and got my feet stuck into the pink mud:-), also good landscape around, was a good relax during our drive into the middle of Australia...

A nice surprise to find this pink lake on the main route to Adelaide with an interesting statue in the middle of the lake. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a flight swotter wouldn’t go astray either! There’s parking on the side of the road and a track down to walk out to the statue for a picture.

Drive off roads for little more than 10kms but still ok to drive, just avoid some of the bumps. Not crowded so you get good photos as you would likely be the only ones there. Late dec this is. Maybe it’s too hot.No pink lake. Little disappointed and found out you get the pink if there’s rain the day before.Go closer and the salt edges are pink.
