Guys BEWARE of this place. When u search on google for snow chains and snow gear etc around Tumut and Talbingo, only this place comes up. My experience is as follows.Google says it is open until 5pm so we went there in three cars to get snow chains and snow gear.We found the shop was closed at around 11am and It says on the door if unattended

We run a business called Aussie Chillout and own a cottage in Talbingo called Pether Cottage. We send our guests a link to Talbingo goPlayoutside for all their snow and sport hire as they give 5 star personal service. Giving lots of local knowledge, maps and weather reports. They take the time to care and make sure you are happy with their hire service. Even have a coffee while waiting. Highly recommend them.

Walking in, I was excited to go to the snow with family. My experience was poor, the owners disregarded our booking and served other customers, were very rude when asked questions and overall had poor customer service.I recommend buying your own snow gear. It's not worth the hassle.

Great service. Rented snow shoes and car (snow) chains from this place. Decent prices. Stuart was a lovely guy. He even guided us to the right places to see for snow.

We were there just last Saturday (July 9, 2022) to borrow some gear. Even returned it in the evening as the owner was happy to meet us too on their shop even if it was closed.This is the best spot to rent ski gear before Selwyn, Perisher or Thredbo! Very reasonably priced, good quality gear, friendly and helpful staff members and great tips on where to go! Highly recommended.

We had such great experience at GPO, amazing team, extremely friendly and helpful. We went for our first snow ever and we had no idea what we could do. Without the most needed help from GPO team, we would not have enjoyed our trip at all.Now this destination is in our list of best destinations and certainly planning to have another vacation there.

Very helpful, toboggans were heaps of fun at 3 mile dam carpark. Snow shoeing was like hiking but in the snow, saw some beautiful snowscapes.

Fantastic experience. Very helpful and flexible with snow hire gear and where we could travel to ensure safe play! We were first timers and will be back. Great venue. Highly recommended!

Great hire shop. We are inexperienced snow goers, these guys have consistently put us in the right place with the right gear to have fun, be safe and know the rules that impact us. It's great to leave the wet gear behind instead of having to cart it around the country until we get home.The must have items when going to the snow are chains (legal requirements) and because we don't always have the same car with us it's better to hire than buy sizes for which ever car we take.
