DO NOT RENT THROUGH THIS AGENT. They will try to keep your entire bond and ask for additional rent even if you are paid up till the end of the lease. Agent asked for extra day of rent upon key handover then asked for more rent money 1 week later in spite of us being paid up till the end of lease and giving correct amount of notice to leave. They will ask you to sign over your bond to avoid VCAT. Save yourself the hassle and do not deal with these dishonest underhanded agents.

The team at Woodards Thornbury has handled my rental property with professionalism and care. Property manager Jenny Lock is wonderful to work with - kind, thoughtful, communicative and receptive - and always made sure her standards matched ours. Thanks, Jenny, for looking after us.

Do not use this real estate. They are extremely unprofessional, I had one agent calling his work colleagues di*€kheads and complaining about staff. They took 7 weeks to arrange someone to fix my air conditioner (in summer and 40 degree heat) and are very unresponsive to emails. I would recommend to chose another real estate to deal with, especially if you are looking to rent a property they don't treat tenants with any respect and if you are an owner renting property, I would also reconsider they do not have landlords best interests in mind. Go with a company that actually takes pride in customer service. Or you'll basically be paying them to do nothing.

I am not surprised at all of the terrible reviews on here especially from the perspective of tenants. I have rented a few properties around Melbourne within the last decade and I don't think I have ever encountered the same degree of rudeness, not to mention a generally unpleasant manner, a smug demeanour and a complete unwillingness to be helpful or obliging in any other real estate agent around Melbourne. Chris Taig the property manager at Woodards' propensity for rudeness and general unhelpfulness (rendering almost all contact with him an unpleasant experience) is almost equally matched by the astonishingly rude receptionist. Whilst I am only a tenant, I do have close family and friends who own property in the area and will be sure to advise them against using the agency particularly when it comes to matters involving the leasing of property and would advise any prospective tenants to go elsewhere if they don't want to be treated in a disdainful, rude and unpleasant way.

Woodards took my family homes file from another agent when the directors had a falling out. Woodards then called my tenants and told them to hand the keys to the house into Woodwards at the end of their lease; that they were the new real estate agent. The tenants fortunately informed me and I contacted Woodards and our current real estate agent. The narrative goes on with lots of ‘he said, she said’ from both side the squabble between directors...until I impulsively held a sit-in at Woodards three days later and demanded the file to my family home back. Numerous texts and phone calls later I was handed a file that on the front page clearly stated our real estate agents name and logo as pointed out by the account at Woodards. Not Woodards logo at all. Felt like theft to me, “take over” the accountant called the taking of the family home file from a business agreement, without consultation or consent by the vendors. What were they thinking? That I’d follow the lead of a business that hadn’t bothered to consult me? Huh!

Unprofessional and down right unethical. I wish I can give them 0 star. Ana Cavallari is a bad real estate agent. She doesn't deserve to be in this profession because she does not understand what her job entails. I googled woodards and other franchises have reasonable rating. Whoever is running Woodards Thornbury needs to look into their agent's unprofessional conduct.Please stay away from this estate agent. They are absolute nightmare to deal with. Seeing my little girl reduced to tears because of these criminals, I want to warn everyone. There is a reason they have bad rating and everyone is giving them bad reviews.

I don’t even know when to start.My partner and I joined an existing share house, paid our bond and rent upfront, but still, it took them 9 WEEKS of incessant calls and emails to have our name on the lease contract, 9 WEEKS! Obviously, not a single of these exchanges were dealt with politeness and professionalism.After 6 months in this house, we decided to move out, organised the bond and the lease transfert with the new tenants on the day they moved in. Since that day of June, we signed that lease transfert again, via email, mail, and in person at their office (where we actually met the receptionist who was the very first courteous person we ever delt with). During that time we’ve been receiving tradies calls, inspection calls, etc... for a house we had vacated months ago. After each of these calls, we called woodards to let them know that we were t living there anymore,Today is day 153 after I moved out, and I’m about to go sign that lease transfer for the 4th time, may this be the last time.Never again.

Seems like they don't take on feedback on reviews very much because nothing has changed. I found this company to be in breach of The tenancy act on many occasions.from the landlord turning up at my door unannounced 3x to the Woodards partner calling me at 10:30 at night threatening me of not renewing my lease if I didn't let the landlord in at short notice for an air conditioning filter to be cleaned. Know your tenancy act, coz companies like these rely on tenants to be ignorant.This is my second week waiting for my bond to be returned they dont use the electronic system. They do not respect tenants. Don't use them for rentals!!

Signed a lease for a house and four of us who are moving in fronted first months rent and bond only for the landlord to pull out. Not the agency’s fault but what was poorly handled is the fact it took 5+ days to refund those funds and staff were dismissive/kicked the can down the road when called to ask when we can expect our money back, undermining our ability to pay deposits for any other houses we get accepted to.

Absolutely terrible service by Josie and Woodards.My whole time leasing a commercial property from this team has been the most stressful, awful experience ever!They really only work for the landlord and couldn't care for the tenant.I've been chasing up my bond for months now when they have no reason to withhold this from me.AVOID!!
