We loved our brief stay in this small, but very adequate room in the heart of Bendigo. It is effectively over the road from the amazing Bendigo Gallery and close to everything. A warm welcome, access to a good coffee from the wine bar this accommodation is attached to. We also enjoyed an amazingly succulent, tasty bruschetta with mushroom snack.Despite being right in town, maybe because the rooms are at the back, the room was almost silent! We would not hesitate to recommend this to others.

Clean functional room with great use of the space, bit of foot traffic outside but nothing you couldn't ignore. Central location to various amenities with off street parking. We will stay again if we're up in Bendigo again

More like a hostel than a hotel. The good:- Room was well presented and clean.- Bar staff were pleasant. The bad:- You must enter the rooms via an outdoor dining area. Be prepared to carry your belongings through an area full of seated people eating and drinking!- The outdoor area has people seated directly outside the windows. Be prepared to hear all of their conversations and for them to hear you.-There is a speaker that plays loud music directly into the room window from 11:00am until 9:30pm. During that time there will be no opportunity to relax in in the room unless you like top 10 hits at maximum volume.- Patrons of the Wine Bar have to walk past the window to access toilets. Be prepared for loud shouting and conversations until 12am as people come and go to the toilets.- Bar staff still need to access the area after the 9:30pm curfew". Be prepared to hear them come and go carrying out their work until the bar closes (1:00am on Weekends).- Despite the "9:30pm curfew" other people staying in the rooms will hang out outside to smoke and chat during the night. Directly outside the window.- There are little to no instructions for check-in and check-out. You have to enter a busy Wine Bar to receive your room key

Could not fault Allawah if I tried. The apartment was easy to find, instructions were clear, decor was immaculate. It was a hot day when I arrived so it was good to see that the host had turned the air conditioner on before my arrival, which made for a very pleasant change acter taveling for over 3 hours. I will be staying again.

We made this booking several weeks ago and on arrival were told that there was a 70th birthday party being held in the courtyard outside our room. He also said that there was a curfew in that area for 9.30pm. As we intended to go out for dinner we did not worry. On our return at 10.15 the party was still going and the people left were quite loud. They did not leave until 11.00 pm which is ok for a party but not ok if you are trying to sleep after a days travelling. The bed itself was comfortable and the room clean. The TV was impossible to watch where it was placed as the only area to relax was the bed- no seating otherwise. The kitchenette was minute and squished in an alcove and I hit my shoulder on the mantelpiece each time I used it. The bathroom was also very small and had no room to dry off after a shower. The shower itself was amazing.-Had it not been for the party I could have excused the rest but feel we should have been contacted prior to our arrival to be advised of the party as it was literally 4ft from our heads

Very nice room at rear of a wine bar. Not sure how quiet it would be if the out door area was occupied. It's close to the rooms and they don't have double glazing. Lucky for me it was raining when I stayed

Great little place to stay, but I'd say that with more people it would be quite noisy as quests there at the time were noisy. Didnt have breakfast in wine bar as didn't open till 10 far to late for me too eat as I wanted to explore. Great location walking distance to central Bendigo.

Stayed in one of the upper Maisonettes for one night while in town. Loved it. It was clean, super comfortable and had everything I needed! Mini fridge, comfy bed, great shower, kettle, tv etc.I had lunch in the Wine Bank (where you check in) and the 3 staff I interacted with were so lovely, and very helpful. The old bank building is beautiful and interesting, complete with the original vault - so cool! (Kinda feel like it’s being wasted as a messy storeroom though, just sayin ;) would be nice if it were cleaned up a bit and made a feature, perhaps with the fancier wines in here or something?).I would definitely stay again, but to be honest only in the upper rooms and not in the warmer months when the outdoor area is occupied by people having a good time, just due to the proximity of the tables and chairs to the rooms. But for a quiet, freezing cold Tuesday night in winter, it was perfect!! When I’m back in town anytime in winter this is where I will stay. All up, they’re doing a great job here :)

Neat and clean, location is excellent at the edge of the CBD. Struggled to get WiFi, signal not strong enough. Wine bar at the front is awesome. Overall, I would stay again without any issue.

We stay here every year during our annual visit for Bendigo on the Hop. Love love love the Maisonettes! Comfortable, cozy rooms, good shower, and the perfect location. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in town!
