Limited dealings with Centrelink and mostly terrible service. Cannot fix an error they made with childcare subsidy because they aren’t qualified to do so?

I've had a number of hit and miss experiences with Centrelink especially their phone services, however I went into Centrelink today and had excellent results. the staff member that assisted me made the process so simple and answered every question I had without making it a big deal. given the fact that my claim had been in progress for weeks with no answers once completed they were kind enough to fast-track my claim for me. overall great experience with the Strathpine office.

Just had a less-than-satisfactory consultation with one of the Medicare consultants (not going to give her name). But I do want to name and highly commend the Manager (Candice), who was very professional, handling and rescuing a difficult situation with great skill. Thank you, Candice. Also Debbie, who took over our consultation - you were amazing: so thorough, knowledgeable and again utterly professional. Well done to both Candice and Debbie - and thank you.

I went in a bit before 4pm to get my expired Medicare card renewed. The waiting line for Medicare cards was only around 2 minutes so the whole process was quick and simple.

Debbie is incredible! Other medicare offices refused to help me because it would take too much time and Debbie had everything sorted in 4 mins! I wish the best for Debbie, you are a star! Wish everyone was as nice and efficient as her!

I believe the staff do the best they can. I believe there have been staff cuts in the last few years.It is worth keeping this in mind. I found myself unemployed after working in government. I have always had great help from staff when I have presented to the office. Much better to go in person rather than phone.

I had never been to Centrelink before and my experience was all positive - Ginelle looked after me professionally and sympathetically and made sure I didn't leave until I had everything sorted - MyGov is a beggar to use !!!!

Great customer service and professional staff! Although there was a little wait time, the staff were knowledgeable and solved my Medicare issues within minutes. Very impressed with the overall experience!

My husband and I had our first interaction with Centrelink at Strathpine, QLD and a FIS officer - Chris and it was 11/10.Thank you Chris for being respectful, courteous, spending time answering our numerous questions and all round good guy.I feel proud that Australia has Chris at the front line helping our most vulnerable population. Thank you
