We had dinner here in June 2020 - two people. Staff were helpful, friendly and on the ball. Surroundings were pleasant, with a low level of noise, so the conversation was easy. Menu was fixed price at $60 for an entree and main, with dessert able to be purchased if wanted. Food was good (recommend the fish parcel). Recommended. We stayed here for a couple of nights in late May 2023, having also stayed a few times before. The place is neat and clean, and now showing a bit of wear and tear. Our room had a nice outlook across the golf course, although the in room heating struggled with the cold, taking from check in to the next morning to bring the room up to a pleasant temperature. A neat and helpful feature is the availability of power outlets at the side of the bedhead, meaning you will not need to scramble underneath a bedside table to find power to charge a phone, etc.Location is only five minutes drive from the centre of town. The trip into town is not really walkable, especially in the dark (due to limited footpaths and street lighting).Parking is easy to use, and out in the open, which is usual for Bowral.

We had a lovely short break to Bowral and stayed at the Gibraltar Hotel and stayed in a family room that faced the car park. The bathroom was nicely renovated, with a large free-standing bathtub. The facility has many multi use spaces that would be great for a function or wedding.Having its 12 metre pool inside is great for the Bowral climate, which can get a bit nippy during the cooler months. There is a separate cold water pool alongside, which may be useful for a hot summer's day.The gym is located next to the pool and has some basic equipment. The golf course wasn't in use when we were there, due to the recent heavy rains. Once that is back in operation, the suite of facilities will be better.

We absolutely loved this fabulous Hotel. This gorgeous modern property is nestled in a picturesque peaceful setting. Backing onto a wonderful Golf Coarse. The minute we arrived I knew we had chosen well. Plenty of free accessible parking & the feel of tranquility all around. We were welcomed by the lovely Annie. She was professional & down to earth. Very informative & made sure we were looked after. She is an absolute credit to this wonderful place. The rooms were huge & boosted the most stunning decor. Comfy beds & great amenities . We loved the fact that the restaurant & Heated Pool were all inside the Hotel. This helped when we visited being a cooler time of year. We got to enjoy drinks by the fire in the restaurant bar area before moving to our table. Not only were the Lamb Shanks & Risotto delicious. The night was topped off by the wonderful, attentive service from our waiter Khush. He was so informative & just delightful. Again another great credit to this hotel. Made sure we were well taken care of.This beautiful hotel really ticked all the boxes for us & will definitely be on the top of our list for many of our getaways. We are even considering looking into having my daughter’s wedding held there in the future.

No mini bar (a few biscuits)No tea bag range (only English Breakfast)No suitcase rackNo wifi instructionsNo phone use instructions (advised removed due to covid.....think that one through...)Bedside plugs well hidden and due to poor design not useable on one side for mobile phone chargers.Light weight hair dryer (no cold blow option)Standard bathroom toiletries (no makeup remover....saves towels)Shampoo/conditioner/moisturiser bottles tiny and difficult to squeeze contents out.Light under vanity on permanently....(an inconvenient convenience feature even with bathroom door closed)Beautiful hotel with lovely groundsGood parking and food.Lovely views. Clean. Helpful staff

Fantastic getaway hotel! From the moment you walk in, the place screams comfort and zen. Facilities include gym and indoor pool. WiFi available with fast connection. Absolutely no issues. Bed is amazing as well which is probably the most important. Let the reception know whether you’ll be having dinner before 2pm. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Bowral!

We came for our third stay at the Gibraltar to celebrate my daughter’s 18 th Birthday. Previous stays had been excellent, so I was expecting the same standards, hence booking for this special occasion. We were bitterly dissatisfied with most aspects of the stay, from the days prior to arrival where I communicated several times with the hotel, reaching out to see if they could help me make the stay special for my daughter, down to the final check out that was handled with little enthusiasm or care.My requests were met with, no, we can’t do that, the service was non existent, the room had faults ( leaking fridge, leaking toilet, and mould in shower drain) , and there was no room service, no mini bar, no robes, no movie channel , no pool towels at the pool ( you have to go to reception to get them), the list goes on. No little luxuries or anything to make you feel welcomed and special. The attention to detail and care for the guests is non existent, with confusion regarding so many aspects of the administration and food management. The staff were non enthused, barely cracked a smile and seem very inexperienced. Overall, a very overpriced waste, considering the complete absence of service. You’d be much better off in a self contained house where at least you have cooking facilities etc. Do not waste your time and money.

The bed itself was clean, and mostly the bathroom was. However, the table in the room was dirty and there was an empty can of coke on rolling around on the balcony. The bathroom has mould on the drain and a thick covering of dust behind the door. I don't think a lot of care is taken to properly clean the rooms. It did make me question how clean everything else was. Breakfast was okay, but coffee was terrible (out of a machine and lukewarm). If you are thinking of paying for breakfast, go into one of the many cafes in Bowral. Room is expensive for what you actually get.

We stayed at this boutique hotel back in June 2022 for a night. It was a nice stay, the room is very roomy, the shower was hot and the water flow was great, it was needed in those deep winter days. But if book here, you better book the dinner as well, as it was booked out when we were there, so we had to go out to town for a dinner. I did a vlog for this stay, you can check it out at my YouTube channel - Alan Law Sydney.
