the island just of the coast looks like a deserted island., once on the island you discover there is a hidden small town that you can't see from the shore. it's simply amazing

Volunteer Marine Rescue is a highly trained organization dedicated to Safety of Life at Sea. The Victoria Point base is manned weekends and public holidays and provides for afterhours emergency services covering a large area of Moreton Bay.

Nice place for boating. Island visit, ferry service, ample car parking, toilets and play ground for kids. Overall it's a good place to visit with family. Dont go in winter, choose summer or spring.

Watched a boy ask a volunteer if he ever rescued anyone and the stuck up volunteer ignored the boy..guess he needs to find another role model

Volunteer Marine Rescue, do an outstanding and varied job from providing weather reports & alerts on marine radio to mariners, rescuing peoples in danger to simply helping hapless boating muppets whom run out of fuel and such. The waters we all enjoy would be a far more dangerous place without them. Flick them a gold coin next time you see them doing a donation drive.
