From my very first lesson with Terrence I felt welcome. I had never done martial arts before and I was very unfit. He was extremely patient, thoughtful, knowledgeable and didn't hesitate to take me under his wing. 8 months later, the instructors and everyone I train with have become a second family to me.Not only has training made me physically stronger, but mentally too. I would also like to highly commend Steve for the insane amount of effort and care he puts into each and every one of his Krav Maga classes. You can tell that he loves what he does. I would also like to thank him publicly for everything that he's done, not only for me, but for our whole WAIMA family. I cannot recommend this place enough!

My martial arts journey at WAIMA Myaree started 5 years ago at the age of 50 and I'm grateful for the inspiration and encouragement from the instructors and staff at every training session. So much support both physically and emotionally to help me keep my focus and working through every challenge. They take the time to ask how I'm feeling and share in my excitement when I master a new skill or kata. Best people that I'm blessed to know.

I absolutely love it here, there are so many reasons this is hands down the best martial arts school south of the river but if I were to write them all here it would turn into a 500 page novel. To begin with, the training offered here is world class. The instructors are highly professional and experienced and have an immense amount of knowledge and passion for the techniques they teach. Each and every one is unique and inspirational in their own way and are exceptional role models, especially for your children. The kids that train here are taught a range of important values such as respect, self control, dedication, passion, benevolence, etiquette, perseverance, humility and gratitude; values that stay with them even outside of the dojo. Everyone that trains here are amazing people and despite all of our different backgrounds and walks of life, we come together and train as one family.This dojo is a home away from home, not just for me but for many others.I can wholeheartedly say that in my six years of training here that WAIMA has changed my life for the better, not just physically with my fitness and weight loss, but also mentally and emotionally with the resilience and values that WAIMA takes pride in.You’ll have fun, you’ll make new friends, you’ll learn not only how to defend yourself and stand up to bullies but also important life lessons. The scared, shy little girl who walked in through the door six years ago is now barely a shadow of the strong woman that stands in her place now, and my martial arts journey has only just begun.I can’t thank this place enough for everything it’s done for me, and undoubtedly for everyone else that’s fortunate enough to train here. Once you start you’ll never look back!
