CDC is a not-for-profit organisation run by dedicated volunteers who contribute their time because they love dogs and love helping people transform their dogs into paw-fect companions. The weekly training classes teach you how to train your young puppy or older dog using positive training methods. You and your dog can even go on to participate in dog sports such as agility, obedience and rally-o trialing, flyball, tracking, dances with dogs or K9 Disc. CDC is celebrating 60 years of dog training in 2018.

What a wonderful club. Every dog needs to have some boundaries and this place shows you how to control your dog with positive training methods. It's great to know that all the trainers love dogs so much that they are all volunteers. Both my dogs love this place. The older dog who first went there in in the late 90s and my puppy who was there last year. Even my dog that has gone over the rainbow bridge loved it and she was there back in the early 90s.

Really appreciate the opportunity to use positive reinforcement learning and participating in many fun filled activities for my buddy and I eg obedience, behaviour, agility, dancing 3ith dogs, rally-o,tracking, and ...perhaps fly ball . Love the club cuppa and opportunity to become a trainer with super workshops on special subjects.

Kay was a wonderfully patient instructor, particularly as Zippy was so enthusiastic" and I was so green. This is a well organised club that has been in the dog training business for 56 years. They have developed the systems that work best for you and your dog and have fine-tuned their operations

(Long review coming up).I just have to say, the ACT Companion Dog Club has changed mine and my dogs life.My dog came to be 6 months old as a terrified shelter pup who had an unfortunate start to life.Over the time of having her (she is now 2 years old), we’ve worked hard to bring her out of her shell, and I have to say, so many things would not have been achievable without the incredible trainers here. Once upon a time she would have ran around tail between her legs and hiding behind me, but now, she’s a bold and confident dog. Thanks to the amazing training from the volunteers at the ACT CDC, I have been able to take her kayaking, travelling (which I once could not), when we go on walks off leash she’s incredible as well, she once would’ve chased anything that moved but now she won’t chase birds, Roos, cars, horses, alpacas, rabbits and you name it!! The ACT CDC has taught me how to work with my dog to ensure her complete happiness and safety and it has made me a much happier and active person for it. Each trainer has given me different ideas and suggestions on how to work with her and all have been so very helpful.Honestly I could not rave more highly about this wonderful place and I cannot wait to continue with our training here for as long as we can.Thank you to everyone at the ACT Companion Dog Club.

This is one of Canberra's best dog clubs. They offer basic obedience training as well as dog sports such as agility and flyball. Friendly and well run, with acres of wonderful fenced paddocks for your dogs to run in!

Great club! Trainers know their stuff. I definitely don’t regret making the decision to teach my dog so many valuable skills and having fun while doing it!

This is a members dog club. I visited for an agility trials. Plenty of space to setup - shady trees or sunny spots. Off lead exercise area. Nice competition rings and equipment and a canteen with COFf
