I usually go to the shop at westen but thay always seem to not have whant I'm after so I tried my luck at the main store unfortunately same result with only one of the products I was after and it was the last one thay had .I can't understand if the products I'm after are always sold out then thay must be very popular. Why not carry more of these products for availability and not so much of the rubbish that the shelves are full of. I find this problem in nilly all home brew shops that I have been to

Great shop helpful advice

My husband I took our first trip to Newcastle brew shop when we started brewing. We asked a lot of questions and received great advice, we weren’t made to feel that we were wasting their time. However, we bought a number or different things and failed to ask for a receipt. Later on, we calculated the things we’d bought and appeared to have paid around $15 more than what we should have. I called the store and asked if we could return to get a receipt and was told yes. Upon return, they were unable to find the receipt in the system. If you do go to this shop, make sure you get a receipt and check the items and prices so you’re not caught out like we were.A few weeks later, I called back to clarify some advice that was given, the treatment was completely different. I didn’t feel as welcomed and serviced as I did so in store. I felt that I really had to push questions onto the staff member to get any sort of response.****UPDATE****Not sure how you’re able to assure someone they weren’t overcharged when you can’t produce a receipt as proof... the prices we were advised in person by your staff, when calculated, do not total what we paid in cash. The service that we received was helpful, as stated. The first time we visited the store for initial advice was the only time we took an hour of time from your staff. We have not spent that time again in the store so don’t understand the need for you to say you don’t have an hour to spend with us each time we attend, this is not the case. We have since been attending another brew shop that spends quite significant time with us each time we visit without issue as we are inexperienced. We have an opportunity to create a rapport and relationship with a brew shop for our future needs and advice. We only asked your staff many questions as the store was not busy. Had the store been busy with customers, we wouldn’t have taken so much of your time.I won’t take the review down as I believe my comments to be true. I have no evidence to say so otherwise.

Excellent knowledge and friendly service, great range of products

Good range of gear. Bought some grain and had it milled. Normally I mill it myself as I get better efficiency but these guys were great, and I was hitting all my numbers
