QBD Books Canberra Centre

Interesting range of contemporary titles at very attractive prices compared to other bookstores. The staff are most helpful too and they also have a loyalty scheme for further savings. The location in the Canbdrra Centrr next to the Dendy cinemas is fab too.

QBD in Canberra Centre has bright lighting, making reading the title of books easier and finding certain categories and aisles more convenient too. The location is in a great part of Canberra and nearby shops make it a pleasant shopping experience. The aisles are wide enough though seating areas closer to the bookshop would have allowed for more appetite for buying more books. The range is quite wide, another plus.

the staff are so rude the girl with orange short hair had zero manners when she walked past and when i asked her if she had a book i was wanting she said i don’t know in a very rude tone and asked me what genre it was but i didn’t know as it was a gift and told her this. she gave me a disgusted look and told me to go the the front desk. when i asked at the desk they said probably, looked for one minute and then said no. this is horrible customer service and i’m never going back here please fix your employees QBD

Unbelievably rude staff - went into the store with my AirPods in while browsing. I was accosted by one of the staff earlier this week. She froze what she was doing to stare at me in a rude, side-headed way and repeatedly asked if I needed help with anything in a highly condescending manner, even though she knew I couldn't hear her, and it was clear I was not looking for assistance. I know this was an unusual interaction as I go in to the store at least once a week and the staff have never once interacted with me before. I believe this staff member saw an opportunity to 'embarrass' or 'call out' someone and took it because they were having a bad day. It isn't the most original thing to say, nor surprising, but I will not be returning. Looking at the other reviews here this looks like a recurring issue at this store and I hope the girl that works here seeks help, and finds greater purpose, meaning and happiness in life beyond what seems to be deep discomfort, unhappiness and mis-targeted anger towards other people.

I went to QBD in the city and I found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I had looked everywhere for a particular book as a gift with no luck, but QBD ordered the book in for me no problem. I definitely recommend this store!

They might have alot of books to choose from compared to other bookstores, but customer service sucks. My family went there and the store have 2 staff on the floor. They are chatting very loudly on 2 opposite areas of the store and despite them seeing people browsing the books, they continued their loud talking. They are like teenagers laughing their heads off and a couple left shaking their heads as they said it's too noisy to browse at all. They should be professional and limit time for chatting.
