We walked in, looked around and thought, oh dear, where do we start...Chris, from the Queanbeyan store, walked up and helped make rhe process greatly improved, a very knowledge and patient fellow. Based on him alone, I would have no hesitation in recommending these guys..

After visiting many tile shops in Canberra, Rivoland turned out to be the most professional and helpful. Particular thanks to Goran who gave sound advice on how I should tackle a tiling job which, to me, was complex and expensive. He provided a solution which made my life so much easier but also saved me a fortune! Thanks to the Rivoland Team, can't recommend them enough.

Friendly service. Huge range to tiles. They went out of their way to find the tiles from a house built back in 2007! Shows how experienced they are in the tile game. Sold us a sample so we could find a new match for the renovation. Thanks again!

Amazingly knowledgeable and helpful staff. They really knew their products,. And had good colour ideas to. And the range of tiles is great. We won't bother going anywhere else.

Absolutely abysmal customer service. Unprofessional, rude and insulting.Stay away.First we ordered tiles in person at the Mitchell store. The order was put through for the wrong colour of the tile (and the invoice was emailed after payment was taken). The tiles arrived while we were away and one box was damaged. Unfortunately, we started tiling with the wrong tile before we noticed (that’s on us for not noticing earlier).So now we are stuck with the wrong tile.When we called to order more tiles to finish the job we were told we couldn’t get a refund or replacement on the tiles which were delivered broken.We told them we needed to confirm with the tiler how many additional tiles we needed to order and Rivoland told us the tiles can be returned with 48hrs of picking them up, so we should order extra and just get refunded. The payment was taken over the phone and the invoice was emailed afterwards.Our email asking to revise the order (and suggesting that their returns policy is not compliant with the Australian Consumer Law) was acknowledged but not responded to for 1 week so we began calling to find out what was happening. We were then told that the tiles could not be refunded at all. I was told by two seperate people on different phone calls that the manager would call me back, but they did not. The next day we called again to try to speak with the manager, who was not available, but did finally call us back later.Jeanette (the manager) told us that a refund for the broken tiles was in the system, but refused to refund the new tiles we had been told were refundable and berated my wife over the phone about how there are costs involved in returning tiles. She repeatedly said “I don’t know what my staff said to you” and ignored us every time we told her “you staff said they were fully refundable within 2 days of picking up the tiles. We only bought the tiles based on that advice.”Jeanette kept saying “the invoice clearly states” and was unable to comprehend that the invoice was not provided to us until after our money was taken. Eventually my wife needed to raise her voice (she does not do that often!) in order to be heard because Jeanette would not let her clarify aspects which Jeanette was ignoring.Jeanette said that we were only able to change our order within 48hrs of placing the order (and didn’t care that that was not communicated to us when placing the order).Luckily we were able to show email evidence that we had changed the order within the timeframe.Once Jeanette had no further leg to stand on, she acted like she was doing us a favour “to fix this up for you”, but the worst part is Jeanette then again berated my wife for bringing up the Australian consumer law - if they had done the right thing from the beginning there would have been no need for that (very professional and balanced) email in the first place. Jeanette was rude, mean and downright horrible while pretending like she was doing us a favour, when really she was doing the minimum required of her (and what should have been done without any fuss following our initial complaint).Following the phone call, we went directly to the warehouse (different location to the manager) to pick up our tiles and get our refund. We were going to be there close to closing time so we rang ahead to let them know we were coming. Upon arrival (before closing time) our tiles were ready to go, but the lady who actioned the refund addressed my wife as “the email lady” and complained that we were preventing her from closing down the eftpos machine (again, this is before the advertised closing time).That’s my abbreviated version.Don’t buy from here.

We got sent the wrong tiles, but it was their suppliers' fault, and to their credit, Rivoland sent us a whole new set of tiles as well as paid us for re-laying them. Rivoland was excellent to deal with each step of the way, from the in-store experience and helpful staff, to the handling of our order, delivery, and dealing with our unfortunate luck with the supplier.

After going to another tile shop in Mitchell and being ignored I was pleasantly surprised and thankful to be greeted and helped straight away. The lady was highly professional, knew her products and saw my vision. I always thought prices were higher here but I was more than happy with the price of my selection. They have a really nice selection of titles to suit all tastes. Would recommend visiting them.

Really friendly, helpful people. Went out of their way to sell me just 1 large tile to put a hot heater on in my caravan. When I get my ensuite remodelled in the next year or so I'll now ensure the tiles come from Rivoland at Mitchell.

Great service from Ronny of Mitchell storeMy job is very small and just need couple of tiles to replace my broken bathroom tiles. It's hard to find something exact match or very similar to my old tiles. Ronny was so nice and patient searching tiles for me from Mitchell as well as Queanbeyan store and finally got the tiles in Queanbeyan and brought over to Mitchell store for me.
