The car I purchased is fantastic - Yaris Cross Urban Hybrid. However the buying experience wasnt so good. The initial contract for the Purchase of a Demo Vehicle was changed to Purchase of a pre owned vehicle. Had to argue tooth and nail to have the contract reverted back to original document. The Sales Manager was aware my wife ( the purchaser of the car ) was in hospital undergoing surgery in Cairns. Yet not even a get well card or note to her. However I would still be willing to buy another Toyota , just hopefully from another dealer. By contrast, the Citroen we purchased from a dealer in Moss Vale, presented my wife with a huge bouquet of flowers on delivery. Word of mouth advertising is the most effective. Alan McKay motors made the buying experience FANTASTIC , maybe John Cole would like to emulate them.

Seemed like a good place, but one of the salesman Liam sounded very unmotivated and a sour attitude, didn’t even want to help from sounds of it. Was happy to put some money down, but with an attitude like that I’d rather look aroundEdit: that same day, I went back to Cairns and bought the exact same model vehicle and got it $4k cheaper then what John Cole were offering, despite being told “I could sell this for sticker price today, and you won’t find anywhere cheaper” by Liam

Been traveling 3 months, rang 3 Toyota dealers and John Cole was the only one who could fit us in for a service on my 79 Series. Staff was excellent and the service was quick. Dropped and picked me up at caravan park. Would highly recommend them.

Poor customer service. If you want to pay full retail price on a vehicle then this is the place for you. Don’t be surprised when they tell you, “we’re not negotiable, we look after our local customers before Cairns residents.” Do yourself a favour and buy from Mareeba Toyota

Sales department are below average with very poor follow-up once they have your deposit. Spare parts and service have been good so far with good communication and timeliness of supply/service.
