Better Event Hire

Noel and his team were professional, courteous and efficient from start to finish. The Marquee they set up was amazing. It held up even through terrible rain and wind with no leaks. The fairy lights looked absolutely magical. Everyone at our function were so impressed with the marquee, and I had such a great experience I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Absolutely the worst service & tripled my stress levels and workload. If you're looking for reliability, helpfulness, politeness .... my advice is to keep looking.1. Noel was abrupt to the point of rude.2. Although I paid several weeks in advance with the invoice number as a reference, Noel decided I hadn't paid and cancelled my order from their system without my knowledge. He said he sent texts and emails, yet I received none.3. I sent an email the day before I was expecting delivery as I hadn't heard from him and wanted to know what time to expect delivery. I received no answer.4. The following morning - the day before the event and the day I should have received delivery - I rang and that's when Noel very rudely told me there would be no delivery since I hadn't paid. Several phone calls and text messages later, including my proof of payment, Noel conceded that I had paid and that he had missed it. However, since he had deleted the order, there would be no delivery that day and he didn't even know what I had ordered and paid for. I had to send him a copy of the invoice he had sent me that I had paid.5. Eventually I received a text apology and a promise to deliver the morning of the event - not ideal but better than nothing.6. The items arrived on the morning of the event but the chairs were all very mud-splattered. We had to take time to wash half of them and scrounge seating from elsewhere for the other half as we just didn't have time to wash chairs.

ABUSIVE! ARROGANT! UNCOOPERATIVE! DODGEY!Do not use this company. I paid upfront and they tried to under deliver on my order and when I called them out they verbally abused me then kept going over txt message.

Will yell at random cyclists riding on the road from their work vehicle. May have forgotten it says “BETTER EVENT” on the back. St Ives 12/12.

My call and emails were answered with clarity. Marquee arrived when arranged as was pick up.All went well for the hire of marquee at our recent conference. The marquee was well received by those whom used it.... they also helped with price.Thank you...

An awful experience of the highest order.RUDE , INCONSIDERATE , UNETHICAL .By reports ,its a sad, common story of many 1st time unsuspecting customers of Better Event Hire.Niel, even verbally expressed contempt for a young lady that passed ,who’s very fundraiser brought on the contact with the business (that he proclaimed to own , but does not ). The actual owner was not much better.They left my wife (best friend of the passed) in tears, without any compassion.She decided to walk from a considerable credit to avoid any further interaction with these people, to preserve some dignity.BEWARE.

Think twice if you want to call them.They are RIDICULOUSLY RUDE. We were on the phone enquiring and their hopeless staff was extremely inpatient as if we are their worst enemy instead of client. They also used F word on the phone.

Fabulous service, staff went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect for our big day, we forgot to arrange lighting and only realised when it was almost too late, Better Events arranged a last minute drop and install of lights and the night went on without a hitch!
