I'm only giving 3 stars as we where not here long so was unable to do exploring like we like to do but we did make the effort and parked in main street and walked around checking out the old buildings, quirky cartoon characters placed on walls ( nickname Hall of Fame ).Grabbed a pie from Sommo's ( sat at smiths park ), not far from the water tower displaying beautiful galas.We also can't go by without supporting the local butchers at Joe's Quality Meats ( yum ) for dinner at our next stop over.A place we will return to, to do the Riverwalk and Museum.The few locals we seen where very friendly.

Well, I can't give more stars because I wasn't able to actually go into the information centre. The first day it was closed and the other day it seems open but the door was locked. I knocked on the door but nobody open the door. It's sad because I love to go into information centre's to learn more about the towns.Well, hope others have more luck then me.

Sadly was not open ..... but no probs as plenty of contact information on the door ... we will have to return as the sculpture inside is awesome !!

Coonamble Information & Exhibition Centre
I was attending a funeral for Uncle Tony Boney in the town. Photos show the Upside Down River after rain and town business people who close their businesses during the funeral. I went to the library after wards and talked to the librarian at length about living in town and then challenges young people face. Many challenges but an amazing town but in community.
