The receptionist is absolutely lovely end extremely competent - which is lucky for the practice, because Dr Vino has got to be ***Perth's Worst GP***. No energy to go into everything that was horrific about this appointment because I'm too tired after missing 6 nights of sleep with an incessant cough - for which Dr Vino refused to prescribe anything but a steam bath. But suffice to say: avoid him at all costs. Also on an interesting note: the few reviews by male patients here have had positive experiences of Dr Vino, while almost all the women have been treated appallingly. Check your misogyny, doctor. It's 2022.

I have been attending Carlisle Medical Centre for over 2 years - Have only ever seen Dr Vino. I am 74 years old and have therefore been to numerous Doctors - after going to a private billing practice for a number of years & when the time really mattered they never made contact regarding urgent results? I moved to Carlisle & with Lisa at the helm, Nurse on site & Vino - I dont believe I will find any better anywhere. They professional, caring & interested in you. 100% a winner. Thank you for all you do for me.Jen Johns xx

Finally a decent covid policy! In winter most, if not all. Illnesses come with symptoms of cough or sneezing. No other GP cares and will turn you away. At least this practise will come out to your car and assess before deciding how to administer your care. If you can diagnose throat infections, ear infections and other illnesses over the phone then why have a practise at all? And if you can't, then forcing people to have phone only appts is negligent and dangerous. So thankful I found this practise.

The receptionist and nurse were amazing. Dr Vino on the other hand, wow. Didn't let me talk about why I even came in, he spent 10 minutes talking about the lining of a the pill contains the lactose, not the actual pill. Said that over and over, so by the time I could say anything he said well

I have been to many medical clinics across Australia but never came across a one like this. Service is 10/10. We consulted doctor Vino and I can recommend him beyond doubt. The nurse treated us was also super nice, calm and well organized. Hats off to the receptionist who keeps the ball rolling. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you.

I would like to thank the fantastic team at Carlisle Medical Centre! I needed an urgent appointment which was easily accommodated within 24 hours (even as a new patient) and Dr Vino Kariyakarawana was incredible! He went above and beyond to make sure my whole health was looked into and not just the one thing I had come in for. We have also arranged follow up care and I know I’m in very capable and caring hands. Thank you all!!!

Reception and nurses were lovely but Dr Vino clearly doesn't have a grasp on basic medicine and was reluctant to even listen to my issues. Convinced he will meander around your problem to book you in for another appointment for the Medicare payment. Had to ask him to book a blood test and no further test booked, the nurse did one physical on the first visit but Dr Vino sat behind a desk and never check any other issues after that simply wrote script for pain killer and told no test were needed. Would recommend any other clinic

Had my first few consultations with Dr Vino and ever since I’m only comfortable with him when ever I have to book and appointed. Very open minded and he loves his profession. Highly recommended for those who are receiving different opinions from different Dr’s. He thoroughly invests his time and energy before he gives his professional opinion. Had to give a review.

I left my appointment in tears.  The female doctor, Dr Yohana Kurniawan has no patience for her patients! In past appointments I have ignored her heavy, intolerant sighs when I have asked for advice....but on this last occasion, she sighed from the moment I entered. First sigh was because she had to update my records on her computer to reflect the correct pronunciation of my name, and then she used my name over and over again at the start of all her sentences in a very condescending way.The final straw was when I asked her a simple question for something that's really troubling me...she retorted quite rudely I'm not God...!!"I quietly got up & said

I had to wait over an hour for my first appointment, to the point that I had to leave for another appointment at the pharmacy and then come back. When I came back, they let a walk-in person with no appointment who had arrived after me go before me. After that, 5 minutes into my appointment (finally), Dr Vino says that I am not allowed to ask any more questions, that it is one question per appointment, and that in the same way that I don't like to wait, other people don't like to wait either. Right, I don't like to wait but I HAVE waited for over one hour. Why cannot I even have the full 10 minutes of my appointment? (Of course I am too flustered to say this in person and I just leave).Dr Vino also doesn't know the difference between Omega 3 essential fatty acid and vitamin D3. What else doesn't he know, I wonder? I will never come back to him. I have made an appointment with the female doctor at the practice and I hope she's much much better, otherwise this is not the medical centre for me.Edited to add that my experience with this practice has gone from bad to worse and now includes bogus accusations of non attendance and public humiliation. When attending an appointment yesterday I was told that I had to pay a $50 fee for non attendance or the doctor wouldn't see me. I have had to cancel a few appointments recently but I always gave DAYS notice, not just one hour as per their policies. The very rude person at the counter kept accusing me of non attendance and kept saying she couldn't find my emails with the cancellations. How they think it's OK to treat like this a person attending a doctor's appointment is beyond me. Finally the doctor saw me in the most perfunctory way, treating my health concerns as being just in my head, prescribing socialising more and walks with my dog (???). It was supposed to be a long appointment but five minutes into it she opened the door, making it clear that I had to leave.I re-sent all my cancellation emails to the practice and called them to try to make sure that they had waived the bogus fee from my account, but the very rude person from yesterday just told me that she had forwarded my emails to the business manager. She told me that she doesn't work on Mondays, which is when I wrote most of my emails, but no apology and no assurance that the bogus fee has been cleared from my account. If you want caring doctors and pleasant, competent practice staff you must go somewhere else. This practice treats patients as cash cows, runs as just a business but a really bad one at that. I am a Carlisle local and it would have been great to have a medical centre nearby, but this practice doesn't count as one.
