Staff were rude - I ordered nasi lamek with fried chicken shown on the photo outside - staff snickered and said it was only a picture. I was tempted to leave but was in a hurry. They said they could only do standard nasi lamek; also ordered a cendol for my wife. The photos speak for themselves. This place should not be allowed to operate. Disgusting.

If this restaurant was in the northern suburbs I'd be eating here every week.Tasty, authentic, affordable Malay Indian.Today we enjoyed the roti set, a banana leaf combo and excellent chicken 65. Moist, perfectly cooked. Nice gravies too.Warm service.Update. 23/3/23.I'm changing my rating from 4 stars to 5 because I've only ever had great meals here since I discovered Anything La about a year ago.Consistently good. The masala dosa last weekend was a thing of beauty.

HORRIFIC SERVICE. We requested to top up side dishes but the waitress reluctantly took the orders.We were still talking to her and she decided to just walk away. The cutleries, cups and water jugs are disgusting. They seemed like they weren’t clean regularly. We got our topped up rice and this is how they serve it to us. The place was also very dusty. JUST UNBELIEVABLE. WHAT A SHAME.

We were excited about the new owners running new opening hours til 3am. Somewhere good to eat late at night, we thought. How wrong we were.Walking in at 6pm and seeing only two other tables of customers, not a good sign. Filthy bottles of water and cutlery didn't yet turn us away.Banana Leaf Rice ($15) with Goat Curry ($10) came ice cold. I'm not even kidding - cold rice, cold daal, cold goat curry. When I asked for a refill of rice, daal, and papadum I requested if they could be heated up.What the server returned to us in 10 minutes was rice and burnt daal ladled on top. The unmistakable taste of burnt daal on the stove. This is a restaurant that either hasn't mastered heating up food, or willingly serves bottom of the barrel slop to customers.But wait, the nightmare continues. Since the first meal was served, close to 30mins passed until we asked at the counter about our missing Maggi Goreng ($16.50) and Curry Laksa ($19). Remember, there were only 2-3 other seated tables at this point, with 3 visible staff in the kitchen.Really, we should've just cancelled the last two dishes and saved our money. The Maggi Goreng was so wet you could eat it with just a spoon.With so many other great Malaysian restaurants around, steer clear of this one. If you're after a late night feed, just go to McDonald's, seriously.

Pasembur was spicy and flavourful to my liking. Teh tarik was really good. Dishes and curries served were unfortunately cold, service was slow as they were clearly understaffed. Came up to a total of $71.

Mee Goreng, Dosa, Banana leave Set with Prawn Malasa. The banana leave set comes with free flow vegs with delicious non spicy binja and cauliflower. Service is brisk and prompt though a bit short handed as crowd starts coming in after 12.

I went to this place for dinner and the food tasted great.There is a Banana Leaf Deal. About 12 to 13 dollars. Rice and some vegetable curries on the side. I also ordered a Lamb Curry. This was about 8 or 9 dollars. Good amount of lamb

1st and last. Worst food ever. If I can report them I would. The dhal was spoilt and the roti canai is dry and hard. Picture is what was left although it was expensive best to go to the bin. I am 100% sure my stomache is aching now due to the food.I would not recommend to eat at this dump. Dont even bother trying.

Came here a couple of weeks ago with my husband. Had banana leaf rice, roti canai and egg dosa.Took a long time for someone to come and take our order. My husband had to go to the counter to ask.We were disappointed with Banana leaf rice. Fried onions wasn't crispy at all. Couple of condiments missing and they didn't think to tell us until I asked. Rasam was not served to us and I had to ask. Rasam came in a plastic cup which is disappointing as we're eating in the restaurant, it could have been easily be served in a metal cup that have there for water. Rasam taste good at least. Curry taste good too. Ordered a prawn side dish and it was so-so, kinda salty. Dosa was not that great. Roti canai was fine. Disappointing that the banana leaf didn't seem to feel like free flow as no one really came back to our table to ask if we want anymore. The cabbage side was not hot at all. Wasn't even warm.We probably won't come back anymore.
