Merinda Village Hotel

Stayed here for work last minute plenty of parking. Restaurant looks great food was great very big serves. Rooms are basic do ga style they do have family room setups but you wouldn’t stop here if you didn’t have to. Make sure when you check in you get your milk for tea and coffee no microwave just fridge and kettle air conditioning shower was ok. You can hear the hwy from your room so ear plugs will help

For a 3 star hotel, I’d give my experience 5 stars. I came during a time where the A1 was flooded and roads were closed and they handled everything with grace and patience. Good pub and bistro too. Clean rooms. Slightly outdated but overall a good place to stay

Food was great and massive serves. Room was a room with a bed and bathroom and coffee making facilities aswell as a television. This is a work style accommodation but does offer family rooms and has a grass area for kids to play. Had live music. Plenty of parking for trucks and cars. You can hear the hwy noise so pack ear plugs. Very flash dinning area

The best by far for entertainment around the bowen area, who can beat kareoke with Paul Samuel or entertainment with alissa q?... a safe environmont where you can be who you are and enjoy a safe night out. Absolutely the best.

Stuck on the road between Townsville and Airlie Beach, got caught in the floods. Luckily we got stuck outside Merida Hotel. Had been on the road for 8hrs with all the road closures. The lovely staff were handing out complimentary toasties until they ran out. Such amazing people! Please pop in and support these guys!

Everything you need, cold beer, great food and a comfortable room.

Stayed at the Merinda Village Hotel last night. This was not planned, but the roads were flooded and we could not get through. It was a blessing to be here!Donna and the team did an AMAZING job of looking after everyone. The hospitality, rooms and food were fabulous!A big shout out to the locals too, and the local tradies. They all pulled together to help the kitchen staff, even offering up rooms to elderly ladies due to room shortages with the huge amount of people that were stranded!Will definitely have the Merinda Village Hotel on our list to stop off next time we drive down South. Once again the staff have failed at the Merinda, a simple task to cook a BBQ for the crew who use the facility for camp accommodation and they couldn't even be bothered to have it ready for when we come off shift as per their promulgated time. When I went back 30 minutes later to see if they were ready they hadn't even started cooking the steaks. Ended up going into town to get a feed and come back 30 minutes later and it sounded like they had only just started serving. This is becoming a regular occurrence. Poor effort and not impressed.
