Optitec Caravan & Trailer Movers

Had a bad experience dealing with Optitec. Did not move the van on a unsealed surface even with traction support under the wheel. Owners were rude to deal with.

Some three years ago, I purchased an Optitec Caravan Mover for the sole purpose of negotiating my 3.5 tonne van into a difficult spot in my courtyard which was physically impossible using my 4WD. I have to say that the product has performed faultlessly on the slightly inclined concrete surface, the remote works perfectly and I have full control at all times. A great product that does the job really, really well. Owners were great to deal with and happily assisted in the initial setup. Thanks, Optitec.

I purchased an Optitec mover 6 months ago for my caravan, Gary is genuinely nice guy and he explained everything which I would like to know. He helped me a lot to understand the machine before and after the purchase of the equipment. The product is incredibly good, I have used it for my caravan and trailers. I am happy with the service they provided; it is over whelming. I highly recommend Optitec.

Awesome product, moves my caravan even over a gravel patch where I store it out front.Can’t wait for lockdown to end to put it good use.Having a long van and tow vehicle set up this beauty will save countless attempts to make it look like I know what I’m doing and be the envy of fellow caravaner’s….. We recently purchased, on line, the Optitec V3 jockey wheel, trolley bag and 150mm double clamp.We were pleasantly surprised how promptly these were delivered. 3-4 day interstate.It is early days and we have only used the Optitec V3 twice to move the caravan.The Optitec V3 has performed as per the description given by the manufacturer. It moved a 2800kg tandem van across concrete and paving with no problems but needed some planks or mesh when being moved across grass or dirt. When damp it tends to slip on the boards. A chunkier" tred on the wheel could be useful.The size and weight of the jockey wheel allows it to be carried in the tunnel boot of the van if you require to take it with you.The trolley bag is a convenient addition to allow for further ease of transport. We had a problem with one of the wheels on the trolley bag

I have been using the Optitec Caravan Mover for nearly four years now. I find that Optitec allows me to move my 3.5t van front first up and down our slightly sloping driveway, manoeuvre around some trees and accurately position the van in a high roofed carport, with little to spare on either side. I have on a couple of occasions sought advice and some technical support from the Company and have always found Gary and Hau quick to respond to my questions. For manoeuvring the van in and out of our driveway, I find Optitec to be essential and without it, I would have to rethink our storage strategy.

Our Optitec order arrived quickly. It was easy to attach to the new boat. Comfortably, first time - reversed the BarCrusher505C down our 25m driveway into our 12m x 4 m garage without incident. I’ve also attached an Optitec purpose bracket to our 7 x 4 garden trailer. This can now easily be manoeuvred to the rear yard. Gary even sent me his you-tube link which allowed me to relatively simply assembly the jockey brackets and attach Optitec, as needed. All-round professional service, and high level product; greatly recommended.

Fantastic machine ...UNTILL IT BREAKS DOWN....and then, when you're in WA, you cant get it fixed!!!!! After checking with Australia Post, I am better off buying a new caravan mover , with service facilities in WA, in stead of having to send the very heavy machine to Melbourne for fixing.So, I can't recommend the purchase of this machine for WA caravanners if they are going to need service or repairs !

Whilst moving the van back into its storage place, the bolt retaining the jockey wheel clamp sheared off.... causing the van to collapse onto my lovely (used three times) Optitec machine. It smashed the body of the unit and I was heartbroken. A call to Gary at Optitec soon relieved any fears I had and he advised me that I could purchase a replacement cover - and how to fit it...... further, he suggested I fit a double jockey wheel clamp assembly - suggesting the exact one which would be most suitable for my 100mm A frame. I placed the order, and made payment the following day once the office opened. To my delight, less than two hours later, Gary arrived with the order - amazing!. Further, I had incorrectly ordered the wrong part, and he replaced that with the correct one...... all done within 2 hours..... Now - I defy anyone try to convince me that this amazing company does not back its product - or mess about with replacement parts....... The machine works a treat - it easily moves our 2.5 t van on all surfaces we need it to - including firm grass covered soil... and up a steep, but short incline.... happy to respond to any questions concerning the above - reply to site, who will forward comments on......
