This place denied me service because I wouldn’t buy a pork roll!They sell Breads, Cakes and Pork Rolls.I asked the attendant for a plain loose long roll, she told me she didn’t have any.I told her I can see them in the basket, with the tag that says 90cents each.She then asked me if I wanted a pork roll, I said no. - a pork roll is obviously more expensive - I just want a loose roll, like is advertised, I’m not asking for anything special or out of the ordinary, I just want a loose roll. She refused and would not serve me! She started raising her voice while others were behind me, such terrible service. Would not recommend!

Great pies and cakes! The person servicing was really patient when I was choosing. The cakes, brownies and others are really yummy!!! 5 stars well deserved! Thank you

Disgraceful customer service. Lady insulted me, my young boys and a friends boy, all because I made a joke (to my children) about them charging an extra 50c for toasting the banana bread. She then accused me of being neglectful because I hadn't noticed the counter had sharp edges and I wasn’t stopping my children putting their hands on the counter. I said she needed to put a sign up to say the glass counter was chipped and it was a health and safety issue and she replied it was my responsibility to watch my children, not hers to warn about chipped glass counters! She then proceeded to verbally abuse and insult me for about 60 seconds, calling me a ‘woman’ and a bad father! I was so taken aback at her attack that, before I had received the banana bread, I asked for my money back, but she screamed at me to 'get out' (I was already on the street!) and she wasn't going to give me my banana bread. My children (4 and 7 yo) were very distressed by her outburst. She may have been having a bad day but her behaviour was inexcusable in my eyes. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Had the pork rolls a few times. Classic one is the best -- good value and pretty tasty. Don't bother with the BBQ pork as it has no flavour and is rather dry.

You'd never guess it from the street, but surprisingly good banh mi! And good value too at $7.

Was waiting in line, and there were one person in line in front of me when the owner asked if I was also waiting for a roll as that was the last one, so none would be left for me. No biggie, I went elsewhere to get a roll.Walked past the store again (less than 10mins would have passed by) on my way back, and they were making rolls for a whole new group of people that were in line. Not sure why they didn’t want to serve me but it definitely made me feel discriminated against. If there is an explanation for this - would happily take the review down; but based on the few similar reviews I’ve seen on here, seems like it’s an ongoing issue.

The absolute best meat pies around. Small family business doing the right thing. Fair pricing, quick service. Great bakery
