BJM Painting

I really don't like writing bad reviews but we are very disappointed with our experience with BJM Painting unfortunately. Brett seemed absolutely lovely when he came around to do both quotes that he did and we were very happy to engage his services. But the job never came to fruition - when we accepted his quote (November 2022) we were told the job would be completed mid-late March. I engaged a scaffolder he recommended and paid a deposit in anticipation and thinking the job would go ahead. I followed up beginning of March and don't think I received a reply so followed up again in April, to be told there was a delay and not enough staff but he would be in touch soon. I waited patiently and followed up again end of April to find out an approx date for job to start. The reply was: 4 weeks away. I emailed on May 24 to chase up again and ask for a definite start date as it was just getting ridiculous not being given any actual start date. The response was that he was looking for more staff to complete the job and there was a gap between when he first gave me a quote and when I accepted. Still no official start date. This is when I gave up. To blame the customer as well is not good. (A little bit of background information - we engaged BJM in 2021 to get a quote but didn't proceed, then I got in touch again in October 2022 to get a new quote organised, which we very promptly accepted.) Having accepted a quote in November and being told it would begin mid-late March and then have to chase and chase is just ridiculous. Throughout the whole process I was very patient. If he didn't want to do the job he should have said so instead of messing us around. It is now over 6 months later than when we accepted the quote and nearly 3 months past the initial, vague start date. I really hope no other customers have been messed around as much as us and will not be in the future. Poor communication, poor customer service and on the principal of the matter, just say if you can't complete a job.

I engaged BJM to repaint the interior of my home. It had a combination of new walls that weren't properly plastered and very old paintwork. Brett and his team were prompt and efficient. They kept the job site clean and the end result looked amazing. Thank you Brett, I will gladly recommend you to others.

Brett and his team completed somewhat difficult painting job in a three story apartment block. The quality of the work is excellent and the communication links and physical interaction was always extremely high standard and on time. BJM did a really professional job and the end product is of very high quality. They turned up on time and alerted us to any problems that turned up and fixed them promptly. Also gave good advice on colour choice and the best type of paint to use. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
