We did our level one puppy school here with Positive response trainingExcellent classes helping support our puppy to be a good doggy citizen. Really well prepared teachers who are able to supervise play in a way that each puppies needs are met.Really enjoyed it.

Puppy school part 1 did not help my dog with the things she was struggling like walking on a lead and dealing distractions while on a walk. My dog doesn’t walk on a lead well and instead of being given strategies or advice to help, my dog had to sit out of the walking lessons. Trainer spoke to myself and my partner in a condescending way, which made it felt like a chore to come to the classes. The name recall strategies were good, but felt too much time spent on things like learning how to sit. Most of the basics I could have learned off of google/YouTube - I wanted to be provided with heaps of practical strategies that would actually help! After reading all the positive reviews I was overall very disappointed with the service.

Jill is an absolutely fantastic trainer. We met Jill when our border collie puppy was just 8 weeks old and have since completed 2 levels of puppy school classes with her, as well as some additional 1:1 sessions in our home and local area.Jill is so patient, caring and knowledgable, and really takes the time to listen and understand and offer practical and useful suggestions to address concerns etc.I am so glad we found Jill and will definitely be continuing working with her as our pup grows over the next little while, and I’d recommend Jill and the team at Positive Response to anyone with a fur baby!

We enrolled our two puppies, one in the small size/younger group, one in the large size/older group. We received only one puppy pack yet paying for two enrolments we should have received one for each puppy, they kept saying they would bring to the next lesson but never did. We found the trainer and her partner small size group to be friendly and caring and they both adore puppies. However:• The space the training takes place in is far too small• The barriers block the puppies view of each other and cause all puppies to be curious and extremely anxious to see each other• The webcam feature for people to watch from home could not be used as it was not set up correctly, we were constantly messaging asking for the cam to be moved and adjusted as nothing could be seen due to the camera placement and people in training completely blocking the camera• The trainer in the large size group seemed flustered and rushed and not as informative as the trainer's from the small size group, we gained nothing from her training• The most disappointing part of this experience is their failure to support puppies preschool completion. Due to COVID restrictions, if you are unwell stay home, so we did for one lesson and advised them in advance. That one missed lesson meant our puppy could not graduate. We paid money for a class that was wasted. They should:1. Have a COVID plan in place and make allowances for this. and:2. Regardless of COVID, they should do what other puppy preschools do, and organise make up lessons in other groups so the puppy can still graduate.Would not recommend.
