We had a great time with Max on the water. As beginner windsurfers he explained really well and was super friendly. We would definitely recommend and looking forward to coming back soon!

I took the 2 hour beginners sailing course this week and it was the best thing I have done in ages. Belle was an amazing sailing teacher and quickly got me sailing about Balmoral. I am very grateful at how friendly, professional and knowledgeable the entire staff of Balmoral Water Sports are and I would highly recommend them without hesitation if you want to learn sailing.

The sailing dingy I used was poorly maintained. The rope rigging on the boat I took out broke in light wind and far worse the boat hull had a big burr of plastic sticking out (1cm x 2cm), which gave me a big cut on my foot.I showed the owner Johno the cut on my foot and the burr on the boat. Also, pointed out the frayed rigging. He didn’t apologise and said, “we only fix things when they break, otherwise we would be fixing things all the time”.There were at least two other frayed rigging ropes on that boat that were about to break and the burr on the hull would have taken five seconds to fix and easily spotted.Though if it wasn’t for his comment about not fixing things, I could understand the burr being missed once in a while. This is a reckless approach to hiring water sports equipment.Johno agreed to give us a courtesy-free boat hire. But when we came back he said we would have to pay to go out.His excuse for not honouring our credit today was that he needed to rig up another boat. However, it was only 12:30 pm, and the closing time was still a few hours away. He said we have to come another day.I then asked for a refund and he said “we never refund” and was then very rude.

I was very happy with the customer service. The person I dealt with, Max, was friendly and provided us everything we needed to have a pleasant sail. The boat was in excellent condition and I would be very keen to hire a boat from here in the future

I have visited here 3 times. Each time it has been lovely. Friendly staff, straightforward booking process at the beach and a great environment!The boats are always in excellent condition, and are always a pleasure to sail. The area in which you are able to sail is large, and is in a position for great views also. Another thing to note is the beginner-friendliness of the boats, as well as the environment as a whole.

Amazing team at Balmoral Water Sport Centre! Thank you for making my son's birthday very special today. Lot's of fun in the water with kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. Highly recommended :)

My daughter and I had an amazing experience with our Stand Up Paddle lesson. Francesco was the best tutor and we were paddling around beautiful Balmoral on our own afterwards! Great experience all round!

It was my first time sailing and I had fun, but my partner cut his foot on a sharp bur that was sticking out from the plastic hull. Our boat rigging broke on the water due to bad maintenance. Which took my partner 10 minutes to fix so we could keep sailing. The owner didn’t even say sorry. Dangerous boats, rude owner, great location (one star for the location!). His business should be closed and the area given to a nicer person.

We had a great time. Kids loved getting splashed on the front trampoline. Ben managed the boat and ramshackle crew (us) like the pro he is. Recommended.
