Real Insurance

Ive been a Real customer for 10 years and never had an issue. Claimed on my Home policy and the service and payment of claim was seamless and timely.

After giving us a hellish experience when we were struck down with unforeseen flood events the last few years, we've just received a letter now stating our policy is no longer being renewed due to their underwriting guidelines".It was fine for these crooks to take our money for premiums for the last decade across multiple policies yet now that they have to actually pay out on a claim they butchered we are no longer renewable? Absolute scammers!Avoid like the plague if you like your sanity in check and don't want three years of tears fighting these shonks to support you.0 stars!!AVOID USING THEM AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTACHE. I have been with this insurer for over 5 years and had to switch today because there customer service experience was absolutely pathetic. Maybe she was still DIY from how slow she was speaking. Would not recommend to anyone. Best to Stay with a local company.

No complaints as I have had nothing but a great experience with Real. I have been a customer since 2017 and every time I call through with a question or request it is handled straight away.The new portal has also made it that much easier to update my details. Initially the spelling of my beneficiaries was incorrect, I sent a request and it was updated instantly.

Just joined Real insurance online in a matter of minutes. Very easy process and saved a considerable amount of money to my previous insurance.

Samantha was amazing.Unfortunately though she was off for a few days and the people we had to deal with were totally incompetent. We lodged a formal complaint and almost switched insurers.Then Samantha returned from leave and the experience was fantastic.

The ad on TV is misleading. If you are diagnosed with a terminal illness you receive a payout. Completely wrong. They won’t pay unless your going to die in a year. It’s disgusting. Also cannot believe how much the premium goes up each year. Must be because the offices are in Barangaroo!

The phone calls I received from Jamie were informative Jamie explained everything I needed to know and asked if I had any questions or if there was anything else I wanted to know.Very friendly service said he would call back in 7 days and he was true to his word. Very polite service and efficient

One star too much!Stay away from this company for home insurance.I lodged the claim March 2022 for the weather damage and nothing is done until today (Jan 2023) so I have decided to call to chase up the claim each week from this year otherwise the claim is sitting there unfollowed. This is my first claim since I’ve joined with Real for about 10 years time and this is what I’ve had to deal with.I will post the progress of my claim here so I can share my experience with everyone.Currently I lodged the complaint to Australia financial complaint authority and waiting for their responds.TO AVOID ALL THIS HASSEL, PLEASE FIND ANOTHER INSURANCE COMPANY. If I can turn back time,I definitely would!!

I have had real insurance for years, they have been a great company to deal with. I have been able to save money by switching over my car insurance and have found the online portal easy to use.
