Tasmanian Arboretum
It's a big garden... full of trees.they have a gazebo to do bbq stuff..$5 to entry. have to be careful of spiders. also, snakes will come out during hot weather. have to watch out for wild animals.

Wonderful 20 minute walk with lot of trees. Can get a view of platypus and we can have a kiosk with home made food. Plenty to spent an evening.

Very pleasant area to walk around. After the floods destroyed the Platypus walk in Latrobe, the Arboretum is the best site to see platypus in the wild

It was a lovely time of year to visit as the trees were so colourful and it was very quiet. Staff at the kiosk were helpful.

We enjoyed an amazing visit to the Tasmanian Arboretum, one of the highlights of our 12 day tour, with delightful flora and fauna. A beautiful and peaceful place, and a wonderful sanctuary. Well done to your brilliant volunteers! The best $5 I’ve ever spent!

A great place to go and walk through the gardens or just relax and take in some of the views the gardens has to offer. You may see some of the wildlife roaming through the gardens or just go down to the lake to watch the platypus. Plenty or room to sit and relax and have a picnic in the peaceful gardens. There is also a cafe there if you like a bite to eat or a coffee. The park is run by volunteers and there is a small donation of $5 for the adults but its worthwhile. You can place this in the box at carpark or by using the qr code provided.

My buddy and i came here as we had a bit of time before boarding an evening ferry back to Melbourne.Didn’t know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprise with the amount of Floras this place has to offer.Definitely well worth the visit, a big loop of walk, and if you’re lucky you might spot a resident Platypus who was very docile when we were there!There are light refreshements on the front counter. We finished the tour with awesome ice cream. And good memories back to the ferry. :)

Lovely place. Not too far from the ferry terminal. Good way to spend a few hours looking for the platypus.
