We are very happy with the quality service provided by EICARE team for my parents. The team are empathetic, honest, flexible, reliable and professional. We highly recommend EICARE!My parents are in their late 70’s and mid 80’s. They both have health conditions and need assistance in their daily activities. My mum had a Stroke in June 2019. She was granted for Level 4 HCP by My Aged Care. She transferred her HCP (Home Care Package) service from another provider to EICARE in November 2020. The former HCP provider was unable to provide reliable services and the support workers were not experienced as we expected. My dad had his HCP approved and he signed up with EICARE in December 2020.Since November 2020, the support workers and case manager Nicole Zhang have provided quality service and care, and professional advice. My parents are very happy with all the services required. The EICARE team have definitely helped my mum recover from Stroke and improved my dad health condition as well.Stroke caused big impact on mum’s physical strength, swallowing, and speech. She requires services include meal preparation, cleaning, companionship and transport.Mum’s food needs to be blended so that she can get sufficient food and nutrients, and reduce choking risk. Support workers has ensured food and fruit juice are blended before serving mum.Shortly after the stroke, mum showed socially withdrawn. With the encouragement of family and support workers, she started sharing her many interesting life stories with support workers during her walk exercises. All the support workers are empathetic, honest, flexible and reliable. They showed the ability to provide warm encouragement towards mum, and demonstrated good communication skills.Nicole is an experienced case manager. She has been always very quick in providing solution to meet my parents’ needs. Here are some examples that demonstrated her care and professionalism.Example 1:My mum sleeps alone in her room. Stroke and aging have impacted her physical strength. One day she fell down in the toilet. Fortunately, I was there at the time. After the incident, we started worried about mum falling at night unnoticed, and no one will be able to help her. She goes to the toilet frequently at night. I contacted Nicole next day and asked if a Baby Monitor will help prevent this incident from happening again. She immediately suggested my mum need a bedside Commode to minimise the chance of falling and quickly corrected me and said that Baby Monitor will not reduce the risk. Commode will. Our aim is to minimise the chance of falling. You can detect using Baby Monitor but it will be too late as falling down already happened.Example 2:My mum has high blood pressure (BP) condition for many years. As a stroke patient, it is extremely important to monitor her blood pressure on the regular basis every day. One day, my dad noticed that the old BP monitor started reporting readings inconsistently. I asked Nicole for advice. She quickly suggested to buy a new BP monitor and also pointed out that my mum may need a small size cuff vs regular adult size. I measured mum’s arm circumference. Sure enough, she needed a child size cuff for her arm. Without Nicole’s advice, the BP readings may not be correct and it would have serious consequence as she takes medications based on the readings every day. A big Thank You to Nicole for suggesting to buy a new BP device and the correct cuff for accurate reading! I am impressed with her attention-to-detail approach.Example 3:My dad has been having difficulty in getting up from bed due to back pain for a number of years. We initially thought Massage Chair may help recovery. After speaking to Nicole, she suggested home-based massage treatment instead and pointed out that the Massage Chair may cause further damage on the back if not careful. She organised home-based massage service. Dad tried it out. After a few sessions, dad felt less pain and he is definitely on his road to recover!

My parents were introduced to the home aged care service provider EICARE about 3 years ago. Since then, they’ve been very happy with the reliable and supportive services provided by them. EICARE understands and recognises that everyone has different needs. They’ve assigned a dedicated staff member to design and tailor the services to our needs. Her name is Nicole Zhang, She is very helpful. She speaks our language. For my parents, the elderly home care service users, the most important thing is that they can trust that you will be there when they need you. EICARE did that. Nicole and the team behind her have done that. Thanks and Cheers to them!! Worth mentioning that EICARE charges fair fees. We feel that we’ve got most out of every dollar we spent with them.

My mother has used EIcare service for nearly two years. They have provided a very good service for her. It is very easy to change the service time to suit Mum. They send us useful information after Covid-19. They tell us what new services they offer during the pandemic. All the stuff are very nice and helpful. They are responsible and trustful. I highly recommend EIcare

We have used the in home care services with EI CARE for our 95 year old father for close to 2 years. From the start they were able to support and help navigate our way through how to best use our Home Care Package to suit our dad's needs. Mike was always empathetic, prompt with answering questions and always ensured carers were available when need be. All the staff from care workers, office staff and to our case manager were professional, caring, helpful and trustworthy. Dad's carer's were not only reliable but showed compassion and developed a special bond with him. We couldn't ask for a better service and highly recommend them!

In 2018, we started applying for the home care package but instead we only received a bit of support from council services. During the period when my 91-year-old grandma started getting support from the council, we found that there would often be many unruly conditions that we had to adhere to and the workers were often quite picky. We were very unsatisfied with the services provided by the council.Through a friend’s recommendation I found EICARE, and with the help from the EICARE team we applied for an assessment for the level 3 home care package. With help from EICARE we successfully received the level three home care package, with only a mere 10 month wait before we could use it. During the period of time while we were waiting on level 3, we were privileged enough to start receiving level 2 care immediately. This could not have been made possible without the help from EICARE.In January of 2021, disaster struck and my grandma suffered from a deadly stroke. She was hospitalized for over a month and after she was released she became more and more frail. She would even struggle with her usual daily needs. Level 3 home care was no longer sufficient for my grandma and I didn’t have too much time to look after her as I was often busy with work.Fortunately EICARE helped us complete another reassessment, even without a suggestion from us. Later, we managed to receive level 4 home care and I was able to successfully continue working while my grandma received the utmost support she required. All in all, the EICARE team are very professional, patient, friendly and provide a high standard of service. They will always be happy to help wherever possible. I thank the EICARE team for their continual support, and I couldn’t handled everything without you.

The case manager is always available to assist in any way, is friendly and very efficient in addressing any concerns, providing suggestions for further assistance and organizing staff to deliver services required. The staff delivering the services are also very friendly, patient and professional in dealing with my father. I would recommend them highly.
