As someone that worked at the shop and for the current owner for a couple of years, reading bad reviews about his treatment of staff makes my blood boil! I've worked in many different shops and restaurants and have done so for over 15 years and never have I had such a considerate, approachable, patient and caring boss than I did at porticos! I've read a few reviews in which are personal attacks on this man and his business and they are so far from the truth that I felt obligated to defend him . He's the hardest working person (let alone boss) that I've ever worked with and by far the best mentor I myself have ever had . The shop itself is immaculate ! Cleanest take away shop in the area by far, best tasting menu, best value for money and best variety of foods! Anyone that says otherwise needs a big dose of reality !! #elportics@kareela #1

Out of the four times I have ordered a Cheeseburger, they have only made it right once. When made correctly, the food is ok. I know several people who have gotten a job here and have all hated it and soon quit because of the rude people in charge. This place is ok if you want some crispy chips but beyond that go somewhere else.

Best chicken shop in the shire.They aren’t tight with quality and quantity. They know how to make great chicken rolls that aren’t full of bones, cartilage, gristle and dark meat - unlike other chicken shops nearby.If you keep up your great chicken rolls I’ll keep travelling from a few suburbs away.

This is El Portico chicken replying on your review Jack. You’ve mentioned that you have come to have a cheeseburger four times and only once you said we got it right. Why do you keep coming back if we keep getting it wrong for you? Why not bring the burger back if we got it wrong or call us we would gladly fix it for you? It’s got nothing to do with the burger. If staff as you mentioned come and go I think you know more then I know. And if you’ve paid for something that you didn’t order you should take it back. But it’s got nothing to do with the burger. You know what I mean Jack. Thank you

Ordered first time Uber burgers from here.Wow, hubby and I both ordered the godfather and it was a fantastic choice. Came in good time, still hot and very fresh. Will 100% be ordering from here again when craving a delicious burger.

Chips are crunchy and salty, The burgers are nice too! The burgers are huge. If your feeling extra hungry then order a burger here! (Not the kids chezborgor tho)

Got the southern fried chicken burger meal. What a monster of a burger, it wasn't the best burger but it made up for it in size. The chips were double fried and also of extremely generous serving size
