Social Sport - Maribyrnong

Maribyrnong is a great competition! Lots of good games on display, the players are friendly, staff are friendly and the facilities are great!

Social Sport does not uphold any standards whatsoever. This organization is a complete mess and is clearly incompetent in running our Thursday Night basketball competition in Footscray. I cannot voice for other nights or sports held by the business but the professionalism portrayed by the organizers of our competition is nothing but an obvious unsystematic money-hungry swindle that clearly does not understand how to run such engagements, hence they do not even care about the people who participate in their programs. Only were we told a few hours before our game that there was no game tonight when clearly they had posted on the app the game time and payment needed quite some time ago. On top of this, we are only given 1 referee and no one to keep score of the game... Whilst in other competitions, they will provide a scorer and 2 referees. The games for Social Sport are in-total 36 min long with a 4-minute (being generous here) warm-up. Other competitions will allow a 10-minute warm-up with 2X20-minute halves. All arrows indicate that this dread business is a near-scam, however, the kinder side of me wishes to believe that they are just clearly incapable of providing a genuine service.Either lower your prices and provide a comparable service or give us a competition that is worthy of the money we have all paid for.I am happy to spend $20 per week to play, but please end this unsatisfactory operation that you currently have and give us the sports competition that we all deserve.Happy to take this review down when sufficient changes have been made. However, I do believe that people have the right to know about this subornation.
