A fantastic little museum. Entry is now $6 for adults. The people running it are super friendly and helpful but also leave you to yourself so you can absorb the amazing amount of historical information on display. A comprehensive insight into such gross injustices of the past it's really hard to wrap your head around it. But it's presented without fanfare or embellishment in an authentic, objective museum style with supporting documentation and oral history quotes from first hand accounts. Great gift shop with many local books for sale. Definitely worth stopping by with easy parking.

We were introduced to this great little museum by friendly staff. They even had craft activities to keep the kids amused while I absorbed the history. Well worth a visit, to understand more about the Island.

This place is fantastic. There's a whale bone as you arrive that is truly enormous. The museum has so much stuff, all very informative but interesting as well. You can also buy unique locally made souvenirs here too.

Surprisingly good for a small museum. There were powerpoint displays, research opportunities, and some interesting objects on display. Being new to the area we learned a lot of the history that was formerly completely unknown to us and found it interesting. The museum is a short walk from the ferry and it has good covered areas that are useful in both rain and sunshine. Fans inside keep the temperature at a manageable level.

Well worth the look and listen to the commentary of an islands history. Not Just the last 200 years or more but the full history of an amazing island. Thank you to the Quandamooka people for allowing all onto country.

This was my first visit to this Museum and it was an amazing experience ☺️ If you haven’t tried the Museum Trail yet, you have to!! It was one of the most well thought out trails that’s not only education but also extremely interactive that immerses you into the history of the island. Can’t wait to be back!
