Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens
This is a developing site. Was very peaceful and could see other areas under construction. Has potential to be a nice space once everything is developed and established trees and gardens make it more interesting. Did enjoy our wander.

They are still developing but I liked it. We saw a sweet Kookaburra and it was nice to just enjoy the sun and have a spot to picnic.

A work in progress, it’ll b great when done but for now a lot of paths to nowhere and not much signage as a result, a good spot to picnic if a sunny day and good swings for kids

Leave it for about five years when the plants have had time to establish. We visited on a damp Saturday morning and there was no-one around. The area currently being developed is quite small. Others have commented about the dirt pot-holed carpark but there is also only limited signage to identify the entrance.

5 stars because the playground is wonderful. All abilities and ages, suitable for toddlers who can't walk yet. No mulch/bark in sight! And it's fenced!The gardens haven't been established yet so it is essentially just the playground. So no bathrooms, water bubbler wasn't connected, so be prepared and make sure everyone has gone to the bathroom beforehand! There is a picnic table within the playground and there is a big shade cloth.

Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens
We were looking for somewhere to fill a spare hour in the afternoon on a day trip to the Southern Highlands, and this filled that gap very nicely. It's clearly in its infancy, but showing great promise. Love that there's an easy (and optional) $5 tap-to-donate on the entrance as we never have cash around for that stuff.
