We arrived when it was really dark. I thought it looked a bit dodgy. Our rooms weren't clean. There were crumbs all over our dining table and carpet was not clean. Felt like the person before us had literally just vacated the room and the room smelt funny. When using the hot water for the shower or made this extremely loud noise like the pipes were failing. Wifi only in the main reception area. Bedding was fine to sleep on for the night we were there. Heaters worked well in each room. They do have a game room with pool tables and others, was not the cleanest or well lit places. Would say it would be good for an overnight stay only.

A group of us stay here annually. Rooms are spacious and clean, facilities outside of the busy winter months are sparse. We do dinner at the bowling club if it's open or the pub otherwise. breakfast is at the bakery, where the serves are excellent. So sleeping and resting is easy, minimal distractions in March. Spread the love to the other small businesses in town too.

Terrible experience, arrived about 9.15pm with confirmed booking, only came late due to late flight into local airports, staff would not open the door when we arrived, even though they were inside drinking, pretty much leaving you stranded. They aren't there for huge periods of the day and dont really care at all about their customers. Hugely over-priced for what it is. They turn off lights and heaters in the common areas even when people are sitting there in middle of winter. Really avoid this place! Also occupied by Snowy Hydro project for long term.

Only stayed here as everything in Jindabyne was booked out. Regretted my decision the minute I walked into the room, seriously considered sleeping in the car. In short, overpriced run down motel that needs to have the word resort removed from their name. No restaurant, very limited reception hours, arcades were all turned off, and everything else was seriously worn out. Hot water goes from burning to cold when taking a shower and lost water pressure when other guests around. So much air leaked around front door to the room that heater on full blast only kept the bed warm and everywhere else was cold. Room appeared to have been cleaned but no amount of scrubbing could take out the permanent stains on the walls and toilet. Hair left in shower drain from last guest(s). The one staff member working there was friendly but could not make up for all the shortcomings. No, would never stay here again, rather drive to Canberra.

Careful when booking. I booked a family room for July 2021 & they advised they may not be able to honour the price I booked for and can not guarantee the room either. She advised she would review my booking in March and let me know if she can accept it.This was the manager I spoke with (could not understand her name).Apparently they are displaying old prices with partners, they failed to update and will not honour if they can get more money for the room.Absolutely disgusting, definitely do not recommend.

Has all the comforts you need for a motel in the snowy mountains. Would be great when traveling in a group due to the large communal area with fireplace, games, bar etc.

Place is unkempt and cold. Dinner in restaurant consisted of dry pork chops, frozen vegetables and rice. No desserts on offer and was told by staff tea or coffee was in our rooms. No fires and minimal lighting was turned on in dining area. Staff were turning off lights while we were still at the tables.Room basic but clean except for spiders and webs just above the bedside table. Disappointing and couldn't honestly recommend to anyone. Only staying for one night... thank goodness.

Decent and cosy rooms for what I paid for. Was happy to find good Indian Chicken tikka. Had good fun playing table tennis n pool with my son who's just 11. Thanks to the staff for making our stay comfortable.

It is a fun place to spend a few days with family. We had a 6 and a 4 year old with us and they had a great time playing with the games on site. Rooms were clean and pleasantly warm all the time. The place is in close proximity to Mt Selwyn and we are glad we stayed here rather than the overrated jindabyne and perished resorts.Owners of the place were on site and were very friendly to talk with. The snow hire shop is across the motel and is reasonably priced as well. We hired chains and snow clothes for 4 under $150 for a day.Would definitely want to visit the place again next season.
