Poorly maintained. External gardens are kept well so it looks good from the outside. Inside the grounds for patients and familys are dirty unkept. Staff are constantly different. Definately not friendly or family orientated. They lack consistency and general hygiene for patients. Hostile to enter premises which is unacceptable as its difficult enough for familys dealing with dimentia .They dont return calls or emails from amana head office. Its very concerning. I dont trust amana unfortunately x

The staff are horrible and care little for your loved one. The management care little and turn a blind eye to a lot of things. They display one new part of the facility in the photos. The rest is horrible, unclean and sad.If you have a parent you did not like, send them here

Long term staff are absolutely wonderful; unsung heros keeping this facility running, genuinely care about their jobs and the residents. I could count a total of 6 who I honestly wish I could give the higest commendations to.Management is less than noteworthy, and staffing levels for high care patients is not adequite, bare bones - pushes the senior staff to absolute limits which is unfair. Care instructions are not clearly handed over between shifts, only those who got to know us actually listened and remembered (eg, soft diets for residents who find it hard to chew etc, hard of hearing *prior to diagnosis* etc..). Constantly having to chase up and push to be told things , both my mum and I.High turnover of new staff, and new staff are not trained adequately to be prepared for altzheimers, dementia and advanced aged care residents, which is what this facility promotes as a key factor of their facility. For the long term carers, and families who are prepared to put effort in to see their family members frequently and also get to know the staff, it's a nice place- but sadly, management support of their staff, and transparency to families (from management) is lacking, considering how much is taken by the administration for fees... which is an entire pension amount and then additional money ontop depending on volume of additional medication and support devices are required that the facility doesn't provide), and every time a pension increase happens- funny enough the rates go up too.. but you don't see any increase in care or facilities or options for the impacted residents. We recieved a condolence card from the associated pharmacy long before we heard a from Amana, post passing.Every place has its pros and cons; I wish I could give a better rating for the good staff we had the pleasure of helping us and dad- but the not so good didn't tip the scales enough for me to be able yto do it. It would be a great place if management actually managed effectively.

Very good care home. Staff are cheerful and helpful. Management and nursing staff always welcome enquiries and are happy to discuss any concerns. Meals are of good quality and liked by Dad. Great medical support and follow up. Activity program throughout the week and lots of options for visiting locations eg Garden, small lounges and residents room. Covid 19 has impacted on capacity to interact with other residents when visiting. Always a friendly and welcoming visit. Allows pets to visit too!

If I could I would do minus a thousand stars. My grandad fell and they did nothing and he ended up passing away, they then proceeded to lie to us to cover up that they had not got medical treatment for him. Sadly they told me he was 90 he was going to die anyway, this was some time ago but we spent years uncovering their lies.
