Sum Yung Guys Restaurant
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night. We shared a couple of small dishes (prawn toasts and spring rolls), a medium dish (eggplant) and the beef rendang for main. All the dishes were outstanding especially the beef.We had a lovely glass of wine (Sav Blanc for me and Riesling for him) and the service from David were all excellent. We were lucky even to be seated at the bar so we enjoyed watching the mixologists at work!I would highly recommend this place for an amazing Asian experience.

Sum Yung Guys Restaurant
We joined friends for a birthday celebration at the end of May. The service was superb. Our waitress was attentive but not intrusive, and very efficient. Our water glasses were kept full and the food was served at a comfortable pace. We had the set menu and each dish offered a variety of flavours and textures. Everything was very fresh. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Everything was pretty good but the flavour of the dishes are much heavier than my liking. The vibe of the restaurant is amazing and the food portion is pretty good. One thing that their wait staff could have done better was letting us know that all the main dishes come with rice so we didn’t need to order more…

Went here with partner for a weekday dinner. We did not have a reservation, however there was limited seating left for walk-ins.Ordered the 'Feed Me' option for $79pp. Started off with silky kingfish, netted spring roll wraps and a crispy prawn toast. Mains included a spicy and refreshing lemongrass salad, which complimented the slight sweetness and moreishness of extremely tender short ribs. Finally, the Thai green curry with prawns was delicious. Paired with bowl of rice and a crispy, flaky roti.Casual ambience. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Do not recommend sitting at the tables bordering the outdoor patio - the fan and airconditioning was on high power reportedly due to an issue with recent midges - effective but rather distractingly windy and cold when eating dinner. Reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient service.Overall, great pan Asian cuisine!

Visited here for lunch. I expected a fine dining concept, but it was more casual than I thought. I was looking forward to appearing on Master Chef.I guess I was expecting something special.To sum up, it was a bit pricey for a lunch, but the food wasn't anything special either. However, the food ingredients were fresh.The response and handling of the waitress was good.

Omg TRUST ME when I tell you that you have to come here! The food, flavour and service was impeccable!! If you love great flavour and clean quality food try these guys out! Me and my partner are from melb and this place is by far a leader in the pack when it comes to Asian/Thai foodIvan our waiter was amazing and a true asset to sum yung guysWhat a way to end our holiday!

Been waiting a long while to try. Worried about their move from Sunshine Beach but they've transformed a dreary hall into a cozy and atmospheric venue. Service was excellent. The food is based on Thai, westernised with a few novel twists. The good was a little salty for my taste but was very good. The cured Kingfish was fabulous and the prawn toast surprised. Crying Tiger pork rib bites yummy nicely offset by an apple and lemongrass salad. The red duck curry was definitely Thai flavours save the ground coconut in the sauce. Overall enjoyable and I'd return- be good for groups and parties.

From the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant, we knew we were in for an exceptional dining experience. Our waitress was a true gem, effortlessly accommodating all of our dietary requirements and ensuring our evening was nothing short of perfection. We had booked days in advance to secure a table, and it was worth the effort.The meal began with expertly crafted cocktails that set the tone for the evening. The NETTED SPRING ROLLS were a mouthwatering start to the feast. While the 'CRYING TIGER' SHORT RIB wasn't quite to my personal taste, the CHARGRILLED CHICKEN was a showstopper that left me wanting more. I couldn't resist the ROTI and even polished off every last bit of the chicken with it.Even though I was already feeling full, my curiosity about the dessert menu led me to order the UMESHU MOUSSE. While it didn't quite hit the mark for me, I still savored most of it and would be willing to try something different next time.Overall, this dining experience was a true standout. As someone who is always eager to explore new and exciting flavors, I was impressed with the fusion-style cooking and attention to detail. The restaurant truly exceeded my expectations in every aspect, and I would give it a resounding five-star rating and an A+ on all fronts.

We booked lunch when on holiday at Noosa after receiving several recommendations from locals. Fantastic food with excellent, informative and enthusiastic service all within a relaxed, unpretentious but stylish environment. Modern Asian-Australian fusion food the way we like it! Justly famous and bookings essential! A memorable food experience for couples as well as for family gatherings. Cannot recommend highly enough.
