Thornbury Bowls Club - for your next event where you just want to have fun | The legendary Thornbury Bowls Club is not your typical bowlo in Melbourne's north. We welcome social groups, parties, corporate functions, barefoot bowlers and anyone who just wants to have fun. Since 1907 we have 100+ years of being the communities club. A wonderful blend of traditional, vintage and modern. With event hire, catering facilities, dining and lounge area and a well stocked bar.

Thornbury Bowls Club
Great local Bowls Club tucked away between the back-streets of Thornbury. The club has both grass and synthetic surfaces. The club-house has a bar, plenty of seating, dance space, kitchen, pool tables and all-round classic Aussie bowls club good vibes. The local members are champs, and there is even a painting of the life-time members on the water tank!

I cannot recommend this venue enough. I used the space to host my 21st birthday, which was such a simple process thanks to lovely venue manager Liam. It’s a perfect place with a cosy vibe, friendly bar staff and everything you could need in one spot. There is so much character and charm, from the fairy lights to the hospitable regulars who joined in for a drink. 10/10 would celebrate here again. Thank you Thornbury Bowls Club!

This place is EPIC they have Bbqs so you can bring your own food and members get a discounted price at the bar. It was $10 to bowl as a non member.

I came in for a beer with mates and was very pleased by the excellent staff and service. I ended up staying for dinner and I was amazed by the food! I had the cheeseburger (with added pickles) and my friend had the chicken wrap and both were delicious. GOOD JOB, will be back soon!

Came down to the Thornbury bowls for a chill afternoon of bowls and a couple of beers. Had an absolutely great afternoon, amazing atmosphere and vibe here. I live just down the road and will definitely be back as a regular here. Friendly and helpful staff and a great turf to play on. Very well recommended!

We had a great night with Soggy Disco Biscuit. Cheap drinks, byo snacks. We danced and had such a great time that we're planning our next night there with a large group of friends.
