Coalface Experience
It's worth a look if in Collinsville. Learnt more than I thought. If you watch the theatre stories you could be there for about 30 minutes.Stories are a combination of actors and the original miners/families telling their accounts of mining life.

Interesting!...especially if you don't know any of Collinsville History. $10 per adult...thought it was worth max $7. All an experience I guess.

Check out Collinsville township, and historic coal exp it eye opener of old days.Great place to stay across the road has toilet and information and please place your dockets in dockets box of money spent in township please thank you

Very interesting place just a shame the locals don't try to pomote the town. We had to find things and places our selves. It's a shame there was no lookout at the mine. But still a nice place

Great place to learn the history of Collinsville. Very moving. You can then grab a meal or drink downstairs. Good area for little kids.

Great museum with interactive displays on site at the Collinsville Workers Club. History on mining in the area was informative and educational.

Great surprise to find this in Collinsville. The museum features several rooms with mining objects and what life was at the coal mine. Real workers share their experience of being miners via videos. Well worth a look.
