Beauty Point Retirement Resort
My wife and I came across to pay our 1st visit to this peaceful and beautiful retirement resort since June 2019 when we started to explore different options of living styles for our retirement and downsizing. Though we had not made any appointment, we still received a warm welcome by a friendly lady, Laura, the sale consultant of the resort, who offered us to inspect 2 available 2-bedroom units with amazing water view and high quality renovation as well as gave us a tour around the resort community and its facilities. We were also provided with a complete set of marketing information about the resort including the sample general sale and purchase agreement of a resort unit and yet we had no feel of any pressure of being pushed for making any commitment. Before we left the resort, we had taken the opportunity to enjoy a good lunch at the well decorated Beauty Point Resort restaurant and thanked to its Master Chef, Mark, who was happy to prepare us with special and tasteful vegetarian choices outside the usual menu. While we have expressed our interest and are still waiting for an available unit that will meet our full requirements, we have become the regular visitors to the resort and met many happy and friendly residents as well as its manager, Lisa, who devotes her whole heart to care about every resident of the resort. Last but not least, we enjoy dinning at the Beauty Point Restaurant inside the resort not only for its good food but also its amazing view and friendly services that we cannot help to recommend others to try.

Ive visited Beauty Point Resort many times and have enjoyed the atmosphere. It's a family run business and this has brought a positive, friendly and reassuring impression that great care will be taken into running the village. The proximity to the nature reserve and the spectacular view are amazing.

My first year at Beauty Point Retirement Resort has been an interesting experience, settling into a completely new location, making new friends and dealing with Covid 19. The management have been exemplary with their response to COVID, keeping everyone as safe as possible. I have been impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff. The way they all look out for residents on every occasion gives me great confidence that I have chosen a great place to live. The outstanding physical environment is indeed complemented by the staff and residents who complete the picture.

My husband and I only moved in finally two weeks ago to our brand new apartments with all new appliances and river view after a long settlement Beauty Point and their wonderful staff were great giving us daytime access to our apartment to move small things in to make it easier on the day. We then got to familiarise ourselves with the property and the Resturant and other residents and walks around the river and bushland. All the residents have been friendly and helpful here with lots of suggestions. The Maintenance guys are great as well& staff in the restaurant and Hairdresser & Nail Artist.Especially the lovely girls at Reception who are always there to help with everyone's problems. We also loved that we could bring our dog and cat lots of walks for the dog to go on.It is a big decision to make and a big move especially if downsizing but wewanted to make the choice of where we went as we have no family to look after us. We are in our 60's and hopefully a long way to go there are so many activities here to do if you want to.Come and see BEAUTY POINT RETIREMENT RESORT THE ONE ON THE HILL you will not regret it!Judy G

My elderly parents moved in 6 months ago, it’s been a huge change for the better, good food delivered to their door or dine in at the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff and with “Home Care My Way” gives my parents the help they need with cleaning the apartment, medication organisation, a carer on hand at all time for emergency’s, even if the emergency is help with an applianceIt’s a great community of real people who look after real people.Beautiful gardens, water views and lots to do if you’re active, or do not much at all (like my parents) and watch the world go by from your balcony or a common area. I’m glad we found Beauty Point.Highly recommend

My mother has been a resident of Beauty Point retirement village for the past 4 yrs and only wishes she had moved there 10 yrs ago. It has proved to be the perfect place for her. She has not only met numerous lovely new friends, but has felt safe and cared for in this beautiful village and has even learned some new skills such as playing Bridge. Moving from her long term family home was initially a difficult step, but it has certainly been the right decision. All the staff are friendly, professional and caring, from the receptionist to the gardeners. The beautiful restaurant serves delicious food at very reasonable prices and the carers dedication to the residents is outstanding. My family has been more than satisfied with the help Mum has received and very relieved that if assistance was required it was only a minute or two away. It has been a great comfort to us. Sadly Mum has reached a point in her life where she needs to move on to a higher care facility, but she has many wonderful memories of the time she has spent at Beauty Point and the beautiful friends she made there.

As a comparatively new resident of the Beauty Point RetirementResort, Padstow Heights, NSW, the management asked me if I would give my views about my new home to perhaps assist others who are contemplating going into retirement living.Firstly, just to give you some idea about location and the facilities that are provided.Beauty Point Resort is located on a 3.2 hectare-site beside the beautiful Georges River with sweeping views and the privacy of being next to a National Park in south-west Sydney. There are 146 one and two-bedroom dwellings housing some 160 residents in this 55-year and over resort. The site layout and facilities are excellent; there is a beautiful a la carte restaurant (also open to the public), an indoor heated swimming pool and spa, gymnasium, cinema, billiards room, residents’ lounge hair dressing salon, a visiting General Practitioner, a chiropodist, audiologist, physiotherapist, and a small grocery shop for every day essentials. Pets are allowed. My unit is two bedrooms (I use one as a study), both have built-in wardrobes, it is an excellent layout, there is a large entertainers’ balcony overlooking trees with a view down to the river, a front enclosed courtyard and a level entry. I have a lock-up garage which can be approached by way of a lift and it is under cover. I paid $20,000 for a licence to use a garage, which is returnable to me when I no longer require it. Carports are available at a lesser cost.My costs are $875 a month plus $15 a month for the garage. Units range in price from $500,000 to around $1 million, depending on their size and location. Remember, on purchase, you are not charged government stamp duty, there are no rates or unit levies to pay, so this, to some degree, offsets the monthly charges. However, you must seek legal advice in regard to your financial obligations should you leave your unit. The residences feature numerous emergency alarms throughout and there is 24- hour care seven days a week. There is a very active residents ‘committee which organises a number of special occasions throughout the year. Also, a range of activities are provided for those who wish to take part each week, such as a choir, craft group, scrabble, shuffleboard, a garden club, darts, a “Men’s shed”, Trivia, Drama, once a month “Birthday Bashes”, Crosswords, Carpet bowls, Bridge, Gin rummy and Canasta. These are all very important considerations, but for me, one of the most important aspects was the warmth and assistance I received from senior staff (including the on--site manager) and the helpful and welcoming advice I received from residents I met while looking around when considering buying into the village.I advise would-be residents to take a stroll around and talk to residents.I am pleased to say that from the moment I moved in with my furniture and belongings, in November, 2019, I felt an overwhelming feeling of peace and contentment and this feeling has stayed with me ever since. There is also the considerable benefit of feeling safe at a time when you begin to be concerned about your wellbeing. My residence has emergency buttons throughout (plus a pendant I can wear) and I know, if needed, assistance is only minutes away. All of these factors help to build up your peace of mind which is so important as you grow older and become somewhat frail. You can’t put a price on peace of mind.I know it is a big step, to move away from your old home or unit into an entirely new life, but as we grow older, if possible, we must make moves to ensure we are in a safe and pleasant environment while we are still able to make those decisions ourselves and not get caught up in “the system” when it will be too late. Give Beauty Point Resort serious consideration.
