Halls Gap

Such a stunning country town; nestled in the valley of the majestic Grampians this place is a must visit. Take your time to wander the town and stock up on essentials before setting out on your camping and hiking adventures!

This place is beautiful. The town is lovely and there are plenty of accommodation options to choose from. The cockatoos and kangaroos are happy to share their home with you. Picnic tables and bbqs available and a play ground for the kids. If you are only doing a day trip you can do a short walk to Venus baths from the car park. There are places to get lunch and ice cream if you so wish. The national park itself has many bush walks to do so it’s worth staying here for several days. Gets busy on holiday season

Great town. Listen to fire warnings though. Look out for kangaroos. Don't travel at night unless you have to

It's so wonderfully delightful, the ambience and fresh Grampians air is a wonderful way to heal the soul.

Weather was just right when we were there. Cloudy and a few showers. Quiet area with kangaroos, emu's and many types of birds. Bush walks to suit different fitness levels. Grand Canyon walk was good but one area was closed. Other roads were closed due to fallen trees from recent heavy rain. Many types of accomodation available but can be booked out. Petrol reasonable price but no 95. Very relaxing, quiet and fresh air. Check out surrounding areas, Giant Koala, Silo art (not Rupanyup-faded and small), wind turbines. Pull over for on coming traffic on narrow back roads through farming areas. Enjoy.
