I got takeaway from here on a weeknight. The service was prompt and on time.The staff were friendly.I really enjoyed the food- I tried the Hyderabad biryani which was a large portion size. The North Indian goat curry was spectacular.The kakori kebab was nicely flavoured and fresh. I also highly recommend the lamb chops!

Worse service ever...Call up the place to confirm booking for two people at 9 ...was told that kitchen will close at 9:30..as walked in, one staff says to take place anywhere you like, and other staff tells that kitchen is closed even though we reached before 9...on website it says that closing is 10:00..first and last time to ever go there

Excellent service, food is absolutely delicious.Chicken Malai tikka and kebab for entreeThe main I had slow cooked lamb leg is easily the best Indian dish I have had in Victoria. With a Indian background this is the only restaurant me and my family have been going to for years.

I have had bad butter chickens..but the the butter chicken I bought from a cafe saffron was the worst..super sweet..and full of oil. I ended up not eating the gulab jamun because the butter chicken was sooo sweet. Never ordering again. Bad bad bad food.

I love Indian food and have it often. Cafe Saffron has by FAR the best service I’ve ever experienced at a Indian restaurant in Australia! The warmth and personable service is unparalleled. The food is so rich and tasty too! You really can’t go wrong here!

I live just a block away on St Elmo road and often go here when I'm unable (or on rare occasion, unwilling) to cook.Such fragrant and elegant Indian, some days I can smell their cooking all the way from The Centre as I walk up.They cater to my host of dietary requirements (Gluten, dairy free) without question or hassle and the food is no less delicious for it. The staff are gracious and kind and the servings generous. Each dish is very well considered and shows a degree of sagaciousness and maturity I'm not used to, while still catering to the sensibilities of western palates. Thankyou as always, a long overdue review.(Ps. The palak is my new favourite)

It's hard finding good delivery curry, very hard. I've tried numerous places, my last favourite just closed, and overall the quality has been substandard.I now have a go-to.Fives stars hands down. Goat Rogan Josh, Garlic Naan, Paneer, all 5 Stars.Next time we'll dine in, I'm sure it will be even better (if possible).

Very nice place and friendly staff. Enjoyed the lunch special of a curry of choice, rice, roti and drink for a great price. I would come try again definitely very tasty food!
